Argumental coming to BBC Two

Great news, it's a fantastic comedy show:

Pretty big achievement for UKTV / Dave as well. Note that the "third series" currently showing on Dave is in fact the second portion of the second series, as they decided to split the 12 episodes into two and show them at different times of the year.

I always forget to watch it! So I'll be glad when they put it on the BBC where I can find it more easily.

Actually for me it doesn't quite work.

It is better than Would I Lie To You though, but not as good as The Unbelievable Truth on Radio 4.

I wonder if the announcer will say... "Now, created by Dave and chosen for the BBC... it's Argumental".

Yes, as could be seen by the fact that the other week they did a round on Michael Jackson and referred to him in the present tense throughout! They could have got away with it had Phill Jupitus not started speculating how he might die during the O2 shows.

So either Dave don't bother watching what they broadcast or they're so tight-fisted they couldn't be bothered either dropping that episode or editing that round out.

Anyway, I don't mind Argumental, if we have to have a panel game where contestants recite bits of stand-up then rather something whimsical like this where they're upfront about it than the pretend improv of the awful Mock The Week.

I've seen it a few times and don't really find it that funny. It's ok, but I don't go out of my way to watch it. I am a big fan of Marcus Brigstock and don't mind John Sargeant, so not quite sure why it doesn't completely work.
