Jodi Albert was in that band wasn't she? Back in 2000. She then went on to play Debbie Dean in Hollyoaks and is now married to Westlifer Kian Egan. Last I heard she joined a new girl group managed by Louis Walsh.

Yes. Rita Simons (Roxy) was in a pop band, many years ago, however the band had little success, and didn't last long, the group broke up shortly afterwards.

Girls@Play were a British five-piece girl groupconsisting of Vicky Dowdall, Lisa-Jayne White, Rita Simons, Lynsey Shaw and Shelley Nash2They were produced by Stock & Aitken Mike Stock[/COLOR] and Matt Aitken.

Each member of the band had a different character that they played in their music videos. Dowdall played a ,White an executive, Simons a mechanic, Shaw a New York City traffic cop and Nash a pilot. This gimmick led to Girls@Play being described as the female version of the Village People
The group released two singles; Airhead on and Respectable, a cover version of Respectableby Mel and Kimon 1 October "Airhead" reached number 18 in the UK Top 40 chart on 18 February, while "Respectable" reached number 29 on 7 October. They also supported Hear'Say,Steps on their arena tours in 2000/2001.

The group decided to disband on 18 November.

I remember her talking about being in that band on the paul o'grady show she was so embarrassed about it, they even showed a clip i think! Taylor Swift thought it was a cool band, but i don't think rita agreed!
