Worst advert on TV at the moment
Haven't seen this done for some time so thought id start a thread on the worst TV adverts at the moment....
I absolutely detest the current series of Macdonalds adverts with the airport themes and in particular the excruciatingly annoying McFlurry with Creme Egg advert. What the heck has a McFlurry, or a creme egg got to do with airports or turbulence???? Cant remember the two channels but the other night on cable when it came on i deliberately started channel hopping and saw it again on another channel at the same time!. |

That obnoxious "BOGOF" double glazing ad absolutely irritates.
Why that long-haired (but bald on top) brainless oaf keeps screaming a telephone number at me that I would never use (even if all of my windows fell out), I cannot understand. I shall take something heavy to the television if they don't pull it soon. Heyho! C-E |

One of the BT ads where the (I suppose) housebound mum claims she simply cant cope with 'two phone bills'.

The Ocean finance ones are really bad, just try watching a break on TMF of Five and you can expect to see something that will make you cringe.

Pick it up, it's yours!
Pick it up, it's yours! Pick it up, it's yours! *repeat another ten times using ten different examples* Ok, we get the idea!! Also... those bloody "Quote me happy!" commercials are annoying. I mean, as if! I bet if I rang them up and said "quote me happy", they'll think "what a bloody tosser." Actually, come to think of it, I bet they get A LOT of people saying that to them. That'd be soooo annoying. Oh my God... I've just remembered the WORST. ADVERT. EVER. That Norton Finance one, with that guy who's walking the tightrope. ARGH! He's struggling at first with lot's of boxes and eventually falls off onto some netting, and then he goes back up again, this time carrying a Norton Finance box, and he's walking back and to, and he's there showing us that it's so easy with Norton Finance.... and when the camera zooms in on him, and he has that stupid, annoying smirk on his face... but that's not all, my friends... at the end, he's leaning on this big stick, and he slips and nearly falls off, and then again with the stupid, annoying smirk right across his face!! This has to be the worst advert, ever. |

Regarding the pratt advertising double glazing for that well known ( for the wrong reasons) firm.
He is dressed as a clown so that you can recognise the salesmen and window fitters when the call. |

(takes deep breath...)
ANY Halifax add those bloody first direct adverts 'ooh I think my husband must like the girl' and 'if I see a black credit card I have to go up to someone and say oh you are in the club' the El Paso ad where the common slapper is on the phone to her mate slagging off the boyfriends cooking ability 'I'll phone you back if I am alive'. She would have a suspiciously saucepan shape face if she said that near me (know what I mean) Elephant dot co dot uk - need I say more Quote me irritated I have to go and get a drink and calm myself down now.....

There's this annoying (yet hileriously funny) advert about - erm - something to do with the law! But it's a load of really weird looking people and this voiceovers going do CCJ's etc, and there are these "people" like a toothless, old man and his wife, a woman with weird black hair, this fella in leather that looks like Charlie off Corrie and this woman with horrible pale skin with spots all over and they all step back whenever the voiceover says something that happed to them (ie CCJs). Oh and there's also this werid young couple as well who look weird as well! And then they step forward whenever the voiceover says do you want more money or something like that. And then they try to smile! I think the company's called APS and they can't even afford a logo! At the end you can see everyone bending over looking at the rest of the line seeing what their're supposed to be doing next, unaware that the camera's still rolling!

He He - spiffing, just waiting for a thread like this, wife & I having a good old laugh, watching adverts intently now...
Pele - in the penis disfunction adverts - what? Why [is it something to do with dribbling?] Ambi Pur - currently they think it's "cool" to have some sad middle-class muppet doing the salsa to an open u-bend [remember, people have sat in a room with their latte's and said - THAT'S a good idea!] The elephant in elephant.co.uk is starting to look a little sinister these days... Chicago Town Stuffed Pizza Crusts which always gives me heartburn whenever I have to endure it. Ocean Finance advertised for couples under the advert heading "strange minging couples required, must have own warts" The link adverts where the guy never stops nodding, only to say..."and you text a lot, right?" and depending on the schedule either a man or a woman replies "Yeah, how did you know?" Linda Barker aggravatingly pretending to cut prices with her fingers for dfs Neil Morrissey and Leslie Ash in the homebase ads, that are now obliged to film Leslie from a discrete non lip-visible distance Chip and Pin, keep expecting Patrick Stuart to say "make it so", and if you are confused by the adverts, wait until you use the service But I do like the virgin ad, where the rap "star" bends over to pick up the remote, to the wincing of his "fans" at the window! |

I like the music on the PIN ads - I thought it was a lottery ad when I first saw it.
Most annoying adverts for me at the moment is the bloody 'we are saving' Halifax ad., and that insurance one with the Charlie's Angels in her head telesales lass. |

Does anyone give a toss that a few people in a Swedish village bought a Volvo on the same day ? I presume they have advertising in Sweden, and Swedish people might buy a Swedish car. They make it sound like a lost episode of The X Files.
