What's Wrong With Fern Britton?

Could someone please tell me why she hardly ever presents This Morning anymore? Thanks.

I read that she just wanted more time at home with her children so she does 3 days a week and Lorraine Kelly does the other two.

Fern Britton only appears on Tue, Wed and Thu - also known as 'the more you get paid, the less you have to do' syndrome.

After all. she's got to have some time to eat, hasn't she?

She was off because of the kids holidays. Remember if you're a star you get time off at the same time as kids too. Richard and Judy, Eamon Holmes, Fiona Philips. They all do it. Or not as the case may be.

The This Morning website confirms that Fern only works 3 days a week and Lorraine does the other 2.

Maybe that crash diet she went on for those adverts has taken its toll on her health.

She does appear to get larger with age though. When she was on GMTV many years ago she was half the woman she is now. Ermm :-)

GMTV???? She was on BBC Breakfast Time (She's pictured here under news and weather), but I never knew she was on GMTV. You learn something new everyday.

Someone chopped her head off and stuck it onto the body of a much slimmer corpse (some model who died in a road accident). When the all of the nerve endings connect and stuff, she will be back.

According to her management site Selina Scott has anchored many flagship programmes in the UK and also worked in the USA for 3 years for the CBS Network. She has also produced some of the most highly acclaimed documentaries on the royal heads of Europe including, A Prince Among the Islands- a profile of Prince Charles, a profile of King Juan Carlos of Spain and The Return Of The King, profiling King Constantine's first visit to his native land for 25 years. Selina now divides her time between New York, Spain and the UK and is a regular columnist for a national Sunday newspaper.

Once TVS had finished at the end of 1992, she went to London to do the Entertainment reporting on London Tonight and I imagine from there went onto GMTV for a little bit. I have screen grabs from somewhere to prove this but far too early in the morning for that!

you miss the point though, fern has to bein the studio for 7, in which she misses her kids altogether, tehn after teh show finishes, they have to go through whats on teh show the next day. so its an all day job. Missing the things that can mean the most to a parent and a child, like taking them to school.

oh and the fat jokes- how childish can some poeple be, atleast fern isnt ashamed of it, she goes on air mostly everyday, and she looks fab, even if she is on the large side. Atleast she knows she is, and maybe shes happy with it. But for people to then slag her off, is just a little bit sad of them and maybe you have weight problems of your own.

am actually 16 and under 7 stone, you people probably couldnt even get down to weighing that much if you paid for it. What im saying is, why do yuo bother with the whole calling people fat especially fern. and i really could care less whos getting more out of life, im saying that fern is happy and she looks fab, she has a well paid presenting job, so fern has a pretty decent life. unlike some who spend their day calling people fat- what wasters.

I wish Fern was working 5 days a week. I have Fridays and Mondays off work ... and i really dislike giggling Lorraine Kelly. Fern is much better, and has a better professional relationship onscreen with Philip.

I wish she would reconsider.

I'm fatter than Phillip; thinner than Fern.

Fatter than Richard; thinner than Judy.

Fatter than Fiona; thinner than Eamon.
