Tabby To Dedicate Song To Sharon

Tabby has said that one of the songs he will sing on Saturday he will dedicate to Sharon on the show following her robbery. He felt as if it had happened to his own mum.

They don't say which song though do they?

Taking advantage of another bit of publicity for him as far as I can see

I do think it is very blatant the fact that they seem to be turning the Osbournes robbery into a publicity tool for Tabby.

I agree with you ArtyAttack

I wouldn't wish what happened to Sharon and Ozzie on anyone but I bet they milk it for all its worth this week. I bet they do so on Saturday during the show as well.

I can clearly see them showing a clip of Tabby going to their house the day after the robbery all concerned and talking about them being like his mum and dad!

I'm sure he'll find a way to incorporate images of his son somewhere

Pity the burglars didn't take Tabby's baby - it would have been the perfect set-piece.

Oh you lot....! Have you no empathy for a fellow human being - whether it be a wealthy famous person or Joe Bloggs on a park bench?

As far as I see it - Sharon and Ozzy have been through a very unpleasant ordeal - as mentioned in another thread, finding an intruder in your home is no laughing matter. What were the Osbournes to do ? Not tell the police in case it was seen as a cynical ploy to get more votes for Tabby??? Whatever you think of Tabby as a performer or as Sharon as a manager - it is very obvious that they have become close over the last few weeks. What is Tabby to do?? Ignore the fact that someone he is fond of has been through a tough time?

What has happened to the Osbournes could have happened at any time - and there still would have been stories in the newspapers about it etc., as they are a high profile family. I hardly think it's only made the news because of X-Factor, so it really cannot be suggested that it is being used as a desperate ploy to get votes for Tabby.

Sometimes the cynics on this forum make me despair....

But surely Tabby's sympathies for the Osbournes would be so much more sincere if they were made privately and not paraded on national TV. It is obvious people are going to be cynical. I think this will see Tabby in the bottom two, which is a shame because I would like to see a Steve/Tabby final

Sorry but thats just the way i am

Lets see.... last week Sharon does her diva impression and is hailed as the bad guy because Louis was forced give the boot twice to his acts. This week she is "burgled" and bad guy Sharon is now the poor innocent victim with the ever present Tabby (aka "look at my sons cute face, isnt he luvvverly") at her feet dedicating his song to her??

Smacks of publicity to this old cynic, , and the perfect way to get a few sympathy votes for Tabby to keep him out of the bottom 2.

Think some people need to open their eyes and realise that this is all being rigged for a "Sympathy" vote, which imho will back fire big time!!!!
Good luck to them!!!

no matter how many publicity stunts sharon and tabby pull, when the public is eventually manipulated into voting tabby the winner for the wrong reasons, the fact will still remain that he isnt talented and his career will be over before you can say "michelle mcmanus".

Well they did not have to go on the TV saying how their hearts have been ripped out of them , they could have said no comment when the papers / TV asked for an interview

Sorry but they are milking it

Well I thought all the shots of Tabby kissing his baby last week were sure to pull in the votes, but it obviously didn't work... so let's hope for the same result on Sat!

To me, having sympathy for Sharon is a different issue to approving of Tabby dedicating a song to her because of it.

I have no doubt that he feels sorry for her and genuinely likes her but he could let her know that in private. Dedicating a song to her, comes across as cheesey and it feels like he is putting her misfortune on display which could to illicit such thoughts as as 'ah bless - what a nice guy he is'. Don't know if it would get him anymore votes - it could backfire and this is coming from someone who likes Tabby (3rd fav).

Just perform Tabby and don't parade Sharon's break-in on the show as you did your son.

I have every sympathy for Sharon and Ozzy being burgled as I would for anyone in that situation.

What I have no sympathy for is the way its been used since then to publicise Tabby. I hope the public will see through it this week like they did showing the pics of the baby behind Tabby when he sang last week which was cringeworthy.

In Tabby's defence I bet its not his idea personally though but Sharon and the other people working behind the scenes. Its not going to do him any favours.

I agree with the majority of posters on this thread. While the burgalry must have been awful for the Osbornes, and I'm sure Tabby did genuinely feel awful for them, there is no need to parade this out on Saturday night TV in the hope that he'll get a few more votes out of it.

I agree DenJ.

I cannot see how this can work for Tabby on Saturday. He's not a big star, let's face it, but a contestant on X Factor. He wont have written the song, in fact he will have been told to sing it by Sharon. So how can he dedicate it to her? Where's the gesture in that?

It's not a special gesture to 'Mother Sharon', because he would have been standing up and singing anyway. I would cringe far less if he just said something about how sorry he was and left any 'dedications' alone.

It's been a tough week for the Osbournes, but I'd have more admiration if Team Osbourne remained professional, and didn't milk the situation.

I have sympathy for anyone who gets burgled....having personal items stolen, whether they are worth £1,000,000 or £100 can be devastating.

Tabby's a daft thing for doing the song thing. He should just have kept it to a public statement of sympathy. And the 'My own mum bit'? Cringe......
