I was under the impression that general repeats would be FREE?

Yeah there are freebies.. why do some people always want freebies Course it was the first stuff I "rented" However at the moment there doesnt seem to be much as far as content goes. Yes theres new movies and yes there is kiddies stuff, but as far as soap repeats n stuff like that, I guess we will have to wait for the systems to fill up.

Sorry I cant capture some images, but it does seem quicker than normal semi-interactive, so maybe NTL got something right for a change.

The new VOD looks promising. It may be very handy today as we have several inches of snow lying outside, so we could be stuck at home.

Pause works just fine, currently got a Travis music video for free.

There are eight groups of content, although only seven are currently identified plus a blank panel , which I suspect is for 'Catch Up TV'.

There is a reminder about how to use the control, superimposed when you use any of the relevant buttons.

Must go and see what else works, before it breaksdown!!!!

Jesus J Christ, Monday we get UK Radio Aid, and Tuesday we get VOD!

What a week in media it's proving to be.

I want freebies because I pay NTL enough as it is and i also think it will be very cool to be able to catch up on soaps and such, even if it is just bbc stuff for now! Imagine being able to catch up on neighbours at any time of day

For me, I couldn't think of anything better at the mo!

As a dangerous insomniac(!), apart from Animals of Farthing Wood on tape, there ain't much for me to do.

VOD should change that a bit! I just hope it gets down to Nottingham ASAP, or they at least give us a timetable as to when!

Sounds good, but what is the difference between "Today's recommended", "Pick of the week" and "Highlights and offers"? Apart from how often they are refreshed.

That's really good. More than I was expecting at launch. I hope MTV joins in.

Hmm... charging to view most of that stuff makes it a lot less appealing. Wonder if they'll allow you free access to all content (except films) for a monthly fee? Interface looks a bit on the rough side too. Until they improve that (and I give them a chance as it's a new service) HomeChoice's on-demand content blows this out of the water - it even has stuff made especially for HomeChoice such as a comedy version of X-Factor, and bizzarley programmes on body painting for pregnant women, and a 20 minute video about hllitosis! Of course, NTL's broadcast (normal) channel selection puts HomeChoice to shame!

i thought they are going to have a "catch up" service where they will have the last weeks top shows or something. Considering they want to charge you 15p per telly messenger message, it hardly surprises me that not much is free.

To be fair though, its only a few hours old and we dont really know what is going to be on it yet
