I don't think I'd describe May as 'early 2005'.

Early 2005 certainly comes late in Ulster, Border and Westcountry regions.

It will be very late if they do it to that schedule - but they probably won't keep to it.

there used to be 3 news channels on DTT, each one was/is slightly different.
ITV news had/has a section where they do a round up of all the local news and events from around the country,

Why's that then? They've got just as much right to be on Freeview as ITV News or BBC News 24.

I dont actually think that, i was just trying to prove a point that everyone likes to get their news from different sources, and just because someone doesn't see the need for the itv news channel as they prefer Sky and N24 doesn't mean that others dont prefer ITV & SKY or ITV & N24. Im pleased that all three are on.

I think there's room for three news channels. It's got to be better than shopping and porn. The competition helps keep them on their toes.

But there may well be a case for a news channel with a European or world news emphasis.

An ITV news channel that does not consistently show Carol Vorderman/Get out of debt/Injury Claims adverts would be nice.

There are good things and bad things on all 3 News Channels. I used to be a big fan of Sky News but when ITV News Channel started I swapped as it suited my taste better...
I was not impressed with Sky news when one of their top news readers picked on a London postal worker for stopping work at 12.30 Christmas Eve, preventing people from posting cards to be delivered on Christmas day.... There is NO DELIVERY on the 25th...He should have known that....
Its interesting that lots of Sky news readers move to the BBC....

It seems to me that they're restoring them in order of size, largest population first - hence why those unlucky Border viewers get it back last, and Central get it back first.
