'R18' version.

I presume that means it showed an erection?

no offense but that fine was a bit much. the offense occured at 00:08, any kid who was up at that time and watching the free view would already know about sex. i just think that it is an over reaction. it would have been a mother or father (no doubt when their kids were in bed) who put forward this complaint.

Utterly ridiculous. It's high time our antiquated laws were changed to silence 'MediaWatch' types and the like who raise these perceived 'issues' in the first place ...

What I dont get is why do subscribers complain?!?
They pay the money and complain because they show a bit more than they should! WHY BOTHER SUBSCRIBING?!

That quote is interesting. People might be downbeat after Ofcom pulling out a big fine over R18 but it might be all for election purposes and after the election, the relaxation will begin.

I remember sometime last year when a few hardcore girl/girl programmes were shown on The Adult Channel, after the midnight freeview. It showed full toy penetration so is that the breach its talking about?

I bet it was only 1 person who complained. What were they doing watch free view porn anyway I bet they have complained before but not had a judgment go their way. I hate these people that watch all the controversial stuff just so they can complain they have been offended by it.

Well if you choose to operate within a regulated industry you have to abide by the regulations. Ofcom can't not enforce the laws whatever we might think of them.

It doesn't need anyone to complain! OFCOM randomly monitors Adult output and they probaly saw it themselves.

Does it really take this long for a fine to come through?
Has it took form last May to now to do something?
Or is that just a month for Ofcom and their special calendar?

One night stand showed erections.
May 1st (AM) was Sandy Babe Abroad night, Series 2 was shown after midnight.

It has been said OFCOM no longer randomly monitor channels.

Erections seem to be the norm now.
Especially on SXTV, there always a bloke walking around with one on there.
Last night, she woman even turned him round so the everyone see him!

This isn't really good news for the prospects of getting hardcore on tv. First we go back in time 10 years ago to the bad old days of proscribing satellite channels, no doubt under the protecting children excuse. Now this too.

OFCOM again showing how useless and out of touch they are. They should take a look at what TVL show on Hot Bird free to air.

If its legal and you are old enough to do it, you should also be allowed to watch it too. As long as it is sufficiently protected so that minors can't watch it (that's young 'uns, not the mythical type that used to get coal out of pits in wales and oop north)...

Could be worse though. From the land of the free:

What would happen to someone who didn't wear any underwear?

Maybe OFCOM should know that you can just just manually input a few PID numbers in a tuning thing on Freeview and watch Red Hot for free?

That's because Red Hot is FTA on Freeview. They just put an MHEG banner over the top to try to make people pay to remove it... of course anyone with a PC or a decoder with the right settings can just do it themselves.

Ofcom are going to go ballistic when they find out (if they haven't already).

I don't have a PC card or a decoder. If you check out the Digital Terrestrial forum, you will see that someone has posted a couple of PID tuning numbers in that work with most boxes (mine is a Nokia 121T).
