Same here. Couldn't wait for Corrie to get rid of her. Now I don't want her to go!
This morning I watched the last 4 episodes and was amazed at how brilliantly she acted (took your time didn't you! ). Way to go Lucy!

Read something the other day about Lucy adding male interest to the show. Can't see why myself

Are you saying that she looks a bit 'male'

She is OK at the crying bit but what I want to know is ' Does she have the annoying voice in real life'. If she doesn't then she will have done well as Katie

I actually think Lucy-Jo is gorgeous and a very refreshing change from the publicity-seeking Tina O'Brien and Nikki Sanderson.

I'll really miss her when she goes, and wish her all the best for the future.

Totally off topic but is her barnet always that shocking? They're not a good hair family are they?

Actually I think if she got rid of those pigtails she'd look much better, unless she just has them when on set as it's part of the character.

The episodes have been abysmal (apart from the Neville Buswell bits), not because of the actors (the fact that I can't stand anything about Lucy-Jo is irrelevant) but because the scenes are never written in a realistic fashion.

Faced with the trauma of having inadvertently bumped someone off, most people would ring police and ambulance straight away, rather than face a perpetual future, ducking and diving from the law and the truth (Enders also guilty).

But if it was a member of your family that killed someone, would you really ring the police and ambulance right away? Angela was going to be then changed her mind which i would expect because you try and protect your family!!

Lucy Jo's hair was not too bad when she was first in Corrie. If she grew it a bit, stopped highlighting it and had it all one length she's look much better.

Agree about the acting, pity they didn't give her better stroylines earlier on.

she looked better in the Children in Need production of Oliver, she had long black curley hair. anyway, i've always thought she was a good actress, and the last few episodes have confirmed it.

I think her hair looks worse than normal because when the character became pregnant she stopped dying her hair so now the roots are showing and it's two-toned.

I think Lucy-Jo is a great actor and is great looking, Nikki Sanderson looks like a bulldog and is completely ugly! It's a shame that she lives in Bury and that I see her shopping on a regular basis! She mings!

Exactly, some people wouldn't, and that is what we are seeing here.

It wasn't exactly "inadvertent" seeing as she clobbered him with a wrench (legal bit: she could certainly still get convicted of murder if that even if she proved she didn't mean to kill him, as it could be shown she at least had the intention to cause her Dad some serious GBH seeing as she gave him a good smack with that wrench. You don't need to intend to kill someone to be convicted of murder - if you mean them GBH and they die anyway, you can be done for it).

Even if Katy and her mum aren't aware of the law here, they may be trying to get away with the fact Katy has killed someone. Plenty of people try to get away with such things, every day.

I'll miss Katie, but I won't miss her pigtails. They always seemed a big mistake to me. A teenage girl being criticised for living with a much older man would instinctively try to look older. Lately she's proved herself to be a very good actress, so I suppose the kiddie look was forced on her by the production team wanting to emphasise rather than hide the age difference.

Unless Martin wanted her to look like a schoolgirl - if so, Tommy's final speech was spot-on.

If someone, anyone, never mind your own daughter, killed your husband, wouldn't you be totally beside yourself with grief? Surely you be incapable of any rational thought or actions?

Actually, I'm a bit bored with this story. It's well acted, but not especially well wrtitten, which may be down to the basic implausibility of the whole thing.

I think she was good in the current storyline. As for her hair, it looked much better when it was a bit longer and darker, when she first arrived in the show.

Lucy-Jo Hudson

I just have to say I thought the acting of Lucy-Jo Hudson this past week has been nothing short of fantastic. I don't think I have seen acting this good for a while, probably not since some of Sarah Michelle Gellar's episodes in Buffy. I hope Lucy cleans up at the BAFTA's and NTA's next year. Even the actress that plays her mum was good, which I didn't expect.

I never thought I would say this - I normally prefer Eastenders - but this past week Corrie, thanks mainly to Lucy-Jo, has wiped the floor with Eastenders, whose current storylines have been for the most part ridiculous.

Steve.

Bored with this story. Some people are so demanding. I think it is the best drama to come from any soaps for many years - and I am not in the minority

I thought she was OK, but always have done and still do think that Tommy, Angela & Craig were the better characters in the Harris family.

Since when were soaps supposed to be realistic? Okay, fratricide happens now and then but on a street where some major front page news incident happens every few months plus what happens in the intervening time would keep the Weatherfield Gazette journalist(s) in full employment. I used to live in Salford and during all my years there didn't meet one father killer, serial killer, evil mind controlling maniac, etc, etc. I now live in London and strangely enough - though none of my friends up north believe me - I haven't yet come across one single gangster.

Yes. She has been good recently. Angela and Katy have made the past three episodes which IMO were better than the initial murder.

Surely fratricide is the killing of one's brother. PATRICIDE is the killing of the Father.
