Why, is it some sort of right?

It's going to be a channel for people to wa*k over, of course you are going to have to pay for it.

Had the same mail, I hope that lots of people contact sky, and as for those who think its a gay porn channel, get a life and check your facts.
Its about time there was some real gay programming on TV, instead of all the stereotypical junk thats designed to entertain straight people like queer eye for the straight guy and will and grace.

Here is the email from Faze TV

SKY MAY ADD FAZE TV TO THE BASIC PACKAGE

We have some great news about the channel!!

We are deep in discussions with Sky about the channel going into the Basic Package, which would mean NO ADDITIONAL subscription, which is great news! Sky are currently evaluating how useful it would be for them to add a gay channel to their offer and we need you to email/call Sky saying how important the addition of the channel would be to your valuing your Sky subscription.

Crucially, Sky seem to believe that there are already lots of gay programmes on TV, so if you can tell them that there are no magazine shows, no gay movies, no documentaries and no lifestyle shows etc. this will help to convince them of the value of having Faze TV in their offer.

The email address for channel feedback is viewerr@bskyb.com and the telephone number is 0870 606 6663. Please also ask others to do the same – the next two weeks will be critical!

If we are successful Faze TV will be available as part of your ordinary subscription to Sky at no extra cost!!

Many thanks and best wishes,

The Faze TV Web Team

I have already sent my email:

Dear Sky,

I understand FAZE TV will start broadcasting on Sky soon, and think it is important that it is made available as part of the basic Sky package.

You already have PLENTY of Asian channels, and as at least 10% of your viewing audience are gay or gay friendly, I think it is ESSENTIAL that you add FAZE TV to the basis package WITHOUT further subscription!

Currently there are no gay magazine shows, no gay movies, no gay documentaries and no gay lifestyle shows etc.

Thank you.

There are no asian channels in any of the SKY packages except for the Asian Package or Family Package and that only consists of Star News and Star Plus (which are owned by Rupert Murdoch)....

Apart from all those makeover shows and Balamory.

But more importantly, why don't they just broadcast FTA and finance themselves with advertising as hundreds of other channels do? Then they won't have to go begging to Sky.

This is my email I just sent:

Hi there,

I am emailing you to beg that Faze TV which is due to launch very soon be part of the basic Sky pack.

As a gay subsciber of Sky TV there is certainly a lack of a gay orientated TV stand-alone channels and I believe that Faze TV will provide entertainment, news and much more for the gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and trans-gendered community within the UK as well as entertainment to the straight community too.

I beg this is made part of the basic pack so I don't have to subscribe to this channel on it's own.

I am more than happy to comment on this should you require any further information.

Kind regards,

Ricardo Lobo-Morell.

I've just sent mine.

I borrowed the structure from the first email listed above, I hope you don't mind Simon.

JC

Dear Sky

I understand Faze TV will start broadcasting on Sky soon and think it is important that it is made available as part of the basic Sky package. Or at the very least part of the up coming Variety pack.

You already have numerous channels targeted at various different groups, 38 shopping channels and yet no channels aimed at 1 in 10 of your male audience.

I think it is absolutely imperative that you ensure FAZE TV is added to your service without the need for any additional subscription.

Currently there are no gay magazine shows, no gay movies, no gay documentaries and no gay lifestyle shows available on Sky, yet your counterparts in mainland Europe and across the Atlantic have made sure these facilities are available for their gay customers.

And who knows, if you are prepared to allow the channel to broadcast without extra subscription, more gay men may subscribe to Sky and the wonderous Sky+. That would definitely help with the 10m subscribers target Mr Murdoch has set himself.

AND, if Faze has a good viewership, then maybe MTV would consider launching a UK or European version of it's new Logo channel. Which equals more choice for viewers, more bragging rights and more money in the bank for Sky.

Who knows, but if you don't try, you wont find out.

Kind regards

James Cunningham
A long standing Sky+ customer (who happens to be gay!)

Be grateful you have the chance to view the channel at all. I am forced to have ntl and ntl have chosen not to carry this channel. Faze ask people who have cable and want the channel to email the cable company and when i did I got the reply of:

"Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, I am unable to process your enquiry in this department.
Please contact Ntl Home Customer Services by dialling 0800 052 2000.
Alternatively, please call one of the following numbers for support: [customer services number]"

This came from something caleld "ntl freedom"

I had originally got a mail saying it ahd eben sent to the correct department. If anyone knows how you send amail to ntl regarding Tv channels I'd be very graeftul.
