Sandy Heath transmitter - dead?

I've just suddenly got a complete loss of analogue TV from the Sandy Heath transmitter.

I've got Sky so it's no problem. I've tried various portables and the two main TV's that use the loft aerial but nothing.

No picture or sound from any of the 5 terrestrial channels.

Looks a bit like it. I lost all analogue and digital channels from Sandy Heath about half an hour ago. Unfortunately I haven't got sky as a backup..

I thought I'd look in here and see if anyone else was having the same problem before I started checking my aerial set-up. At least I'm saved a trip into the loft to check out the booster I suppose.....

You just beat me to posting that link!

Could be a power cut, but I thought they had their own generators for a loss of mains power (I've never noticed a problem with Sandy Heath before anyway). Then again I don't know what else could cause a total loss of all channels like this..

It's obviously a serious problem to knock everything out - also it being a bank holiday - and weekend how much technical support is there around at Arqiva?

The engineering firm that is the landlord at the Sandy Heath TX for the TV and Radio services...

Basically if something goes wrong - they have to fix it!

Well I'm listening to three counties radio over the internet for any news at the moment, but they haven't mentioned any problems yet. I'll keep you posted though...

That is strange as our cable tv is fine we were watching the golf thing on sky one mix (its crap by the way) but when we went up to bed, the television that is just for analogue will not work!

Update from three counties radio - it has been caused by a power cut. Engineers are on the way, should be back on air shortly......
