LL Cool J Featuring J Lo- Control Myself

Anyone else love this song??? It's such a cool tune, great to dance too. Also the ZZzZzzZZzzZZZZ bit at the end is the best ever part of a song

It's out May 8th

I like it but the ZZZZZZZZZZZZ thing sounds very lazy and like they couldn't think of anything else. Love the song though.

You youngsters make me laugh.

That bit is taken from a track called Planet Rock by Afrikka Bambaata. It was one of the first big rap records around the same time as Rappers Delight by The Sugarhill Gang - but you've probably never heard of that?

Don't like it at all. Wouldn't remember the tune even after hearing it 100 times. Lazy rapping & rhythm. Poor vocals.

IMO

Can't knock iot - love it

LL is still on top of his game and JD has used a classic sample and added some spice to it.

I know JLO aint the worlds most favouite person at the moment but shes does good enough on this.

It aint gonna be to everybody's taste but I'm a huge LL fan and I think JD is one of the best producers around.

As for the zzZZZzzz I think it's a cool homage to a classic track...Oh and I'm 25 so I guess thats old enough to get the sample

Quite catchy but I agree what is with the ZzZZzZZ bit, they look ridiculous in the video! Very lazy lyrics.

I can't stand Jennifer Lopez or Jermaine Dupri, so I can't really objectively judge the song. Again, I hate those two so much.

Brilliant ch00n. The 'zzzz' bit rocks too. Didn't know it was from another track though. Live and learn and all that.

... and the main sample loop comes from their follow up single 'Looking for the Perfect Beat'. Listen here, copy and paste the URLs below:

I remember these tracks well the first time they came out in 1982 - 83.

Even after a few listens/ views of the video...for me the song is not very good. Kinda bland too...I just switch the channel when it comes on now.

LL fell off faster than humpty dumpty, since the late 90's he has released commercial rubbish, all his albums are the same, talking about women

Commercial or talking about women, he's still one of my favourite rappers and I can't see that changing

His music still sells so it can't be that bad

I have tons of his stuff and while the subjects sound similar the production has changed with him brining on new guys each time.

The GOAT was harder production wise than X which was more R&B than hip-hop in a lot of places and the deffinition was a quality club album with nearly all the production handled by Timberland. His latest I'm yet to hear but I understand JD to have had a hand in most of it which means another different sound.

To say he always talks about women, a similar acusation can be chucked at many artists, I mean how many artisits release ballad albums where every song has the word love in it somewhere.

Keep on keeping on LL!
