Eurobird 1 at 28.5, down??

Lo All,

After having thunderstorms here in east Germany yesterday, I now have no signal on all Eurobird 1 stations. Before yesterday all was fine, even last winter with very bad weather I had no problems with reception. Today with beautiful blue skies I can't get anything from this satellite. The signal strength is even better than normal as I have fiddled with the dish and now have 80%strength and 70% quality. Could it be that the ground transmitter is down for the Eurobird 1? Does anyone else have problems? Being in east Germany I don't get Astra 2D so any loss of other stations is a real loss especially when this includes the Golf Channel!!!!! aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Looking forward to some good news,

Sam

When there is an electrical storm there can be a build up of static in the air. This could have caused something to go pop, maybe the LNB has been zapped or something in your digibox.

Thanks for the replies. The dish is 60 cm. I had reception for about 5 hours yesterday then there was another storm and it has been on and off all day.
