I think Izzy is one of those characters that to start with you're not overly keen on, but over time she really grows on you.

Completely agree with you guys, all shes ever really wanted is to be loved, and with Paul it took her time, to actually realise her feelings, and then he just dumps her with the click of his fingers, and the whole Karl thing(mostly one sided on Karls part), but then you can't blame Karl.

An yes Natasha was at the NTA's along with Jackie, Alan and Blair.

I think she is so popular because she is one of those rare truly rounded soap characters, and Nat B plays her so will with many layers.

No matter how bitchy she is, the motivation for her is usually to be loved, as has been said.

Most soap baddies are 1 dimensional, they're just nasty, and that's it, we don't get to see why.

We saw the good and compassionate side of Izzy yesterday,when she desperately tried to cover up the fact that she had slept with Karl,in order to try and save Karl and Susan's realtionship.

Must say Paul Robinson treated her despicably ; people say they were well matched,but she was never as bad as him,his character is as cold as ice.

I spotted Natalie B. on TV at the NTA's last night btw,she seemed to be having a great time!

I feel so sorry for Izzy. I always think it shows a good character if someone can be a bitch but still inspire sympathy.

Izzy is so misunderstood by everyone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Izzy never actually had an affair with Karl when he was married did she? Everyone always condemns her for it, but I'm sure it's something she never actually did. It was Karl's choice to leave Susan anyway, not Izzy's.

Yeah... and to be honest, I can't really stand Susan.. and if we're being truthful, Susan was seriously nasty to Izzy from the outset, which got Izzy's back up..

OMG, I thought I was the only one who didn't like Susan! I thought people would kill me for saying it so just kept quiet lol. At the beginning I didn't really like Izzy that much but I think she's great now.

I don't like Susan either. I thought she was okay when I first started watching, but now she just irritates me.

Sounds like everyone hated Izzy from the offset

Didn't Sky take an instant disliking to her as well?
