So would I.

However, I think they are similarities in style between Jon and Anthony Davis who will be doing the 10am-2pm slot on theJazz, the same time as Jon's Bit in the Morning and a Bit in the Afternoon.

Helen Mayhew doing mon to fri evenings ... wasnt that her old slot on Jazz FM?

Be good to have her back on - loved tuning in to her every now and then

However do wish Gcap would put a little more effort in to making local stations sound even more local - dont forget theJazz is digital only

Helen Mayhew, David Jensen, Mark Forrest are all good for the non expert jazz fan. Also some names in there at the weekends for the more expert listener.

Great to see a return for Mike Chadwick's Latin show which he used to do on the old Jazz FM on Friday nights till about five years ago.

The names of the daytime jocks fill me with a little trepidation - does anyone remember hearing a Kid Jensen jazz show on Radio Luxembourg?

But as long as the playlist doesn't go any more mainstream than we've heard since Christmas, we shouldn't complain too much.

It is good to have a real jazz station back. But (and I know I harp on about this) a Saturday morning request show would be a real bonus.

Yes, the Saturday afternoon request show they have planned is a travesty. What the hell do they think they are doing, ignoring the considered thoughts of Digital spy?? Boo hiss!

I suspect that it will be voice-tracked - if not all then certainly segments - e.g. Margherita's slot. Course could be wrong, hope so cos I agree with Kev_6655!

On the subject of Jon Scragg not being included in the lineup. Does anyone know if he is currently in any station lineup? I have tried google but no current information available.

Just read an earlier post so question answerd!

I agree with the shows where they will be playing new jazz, which doesn't get much coverage, even on the BBC. So I will be looking forward to theJazz jury.

I also look forward to the return to The Cutting Edge with Mike Chadwick too, loved it on Jazz FM/Smooth FM/jazzfm.com when it was on there.

I read recently that he is poorly at the moment. I wish him all the best for a recovery as I used to love listening to him on the networked Jazz FM show "and all around the world at jazzfm.com". Always a great listen and very enthusiastic. Who knows, one day he may be on the Jazz.
