The Ben Ellis Appreciation Thread - Any Dream Will Do

Well I know he hasn't got the best voice in the group nor the best acting skills and he probably won't go very far BUT after that sing off on Saturday night I think he deserves a thread of his own.

He sang and acted his heart out and I so want him to be there for a few more weeks to see how much more he can do. He may have not been consistent from week one but at least he is not bland like some.

Anyone agree with me?

Well I prefer him to Craig, Chris and Lewis.

He has a certain spark about him, and the way he give it his all while performing is great. I think with the training he can only continue to improve. Don't what him as joseph though

Bless him, I think he is very sweet and you cannot fault his efforft. There is a little twinkle in his eye which is very endearing.

As cute as I think he is - he is no joseph, but I really admire his fighting spirit. He really pulled it out of the bag during that sing off and blew Seamus of the stage.

I agree.

I wouldn't be surpirsed if he made it to the final 4.

Awww yea I'm a Ben fan now. I know he won't be winning the comp but he was a little star last week and I'm really pleased for him that ALW saved him after that sing off.

The favourites aside, he's definitely my "best of the rest"

I agree. I warmed to him after last week's sing off. I genuinely wish all of the Josephs the best; they are young, keen and will learn so much from this competiton however far they get. He clearly thought he was going home after the sing-off so it was difficult not to smile when he was handed such a reprieve. I still don't think he will win but I was chuffed for his sake that he turned in a better performance than the previous week.

Yip - why not?

Seamus has one and he is incredibly distateful in my opiniion but I would never dream of denying his fans a thread.

Glad to see some support for Ben with his twinkle in his eye. I think he really has stage presence and star quality just wish he could come through on the vocals on every performance

Big Ben fans in our house. Although the main reason is we live in Scarborough where hes from.

We are going to keep voting for him and to be honest I certainly think he keeps improving. The local paper has a Back Ben campaign going and I've seen quite a few posters in peoples windows.

Anthony was prettier, but he did look good on that barricade waving the flag, looks like he has a lot of stamina!

for the first time on saturday i did actually enjoy Ben's performance. He is getting better each week and i hope he makes the final!

Agree Ben has got better. It's admirable that he gives his all in a performance, despite having been knocked back a few times. He is a determined guy and he ain't going to go anywhere without a fight, methinks
