The Bill - Don Beech

Does anyone here remember Don Beech from The Bill? The best time in the show in my opinion. I think it's time for him to make another comeback too to be honest - it's being too long! Anyone got any vids of him in the meantime? Like the Beech is Back spin off and the episodes with him and Neil Manson? Would be brill to see them.

Billy Murray is a brilliant actor. But Don Beech was a thoroughly bent copper who was corrupt and took bribes and shot and killed sergeant Boulton who was one of my favourite characters

Him n Beech got in a fight on some dangerous gravel - the ironic thing was Beech was trying to save John from his criminal associates who DID want to kill him because he was involved too much! When things got out of hand and Beech hit John's head accidently off the very hard gravel, he was dead. Beech was actually mortified as John was his best friend in the nick. And the rest as they say is history...!

What's the point in having a capital letter at the start of each word? Despite being gramatically incorrect, it is very hard to read and annoying.

lol, Don wasn't that bad that'd he hold a gun to an old friend's head! Obviously he got killed in the end yes but it really was accidental. Sad really on both sides.

Hope we see some Beech again soon though - showing his face in Sun Hill would be fun just to wind them up a bit, especially Meadows!

You mean D.S. Ted Roach, he had the whisky in the drawer. The character died off screen a couple of years ago. Jack Meadows went to the funeral and met up with Bob Cryer (on his motorbike), and Alec Peters (retired officer). The three of them then solved who'd killed Roach in a hit and run.

Bring back Burnside, who cares about Beech, didn't he bury the ginger one alive? Beech was just annoying, he belongs in Eastenders playing a big man, not The Bill.

^ Yes, Beech killed Boulton.

Personally, I don't care if Beech returned or not. He was captured early on this decade, and then escaped again in 2004. I would find it a bit irritating if they kept bringing him back to basically do the same thing as they did before - i.e. capture him.

Deffinately, Claire Stanton wan an ace copper! I don't think that any female Detective has come even close to how good a cop she was on the show........we'll that is until D.I Nixon has joined the show!

The Beech years coincided with the Bill's golden years.
