New look Flaunt

Anybody seen the new logo? I see the finally got round to replacing the glitter ball one. They have a new interactive chart starting soon it said in the ad break. The channel has a good selection of videos at the moment.

Is it still aimed at the gay market? They seemed to have softened that approach recently.

I don't think so, its 100% dance now, it has taken over from Rapture.

Why did Flaunt turn into an all dance channel anyway? I prefer a mixture.

Because people who are in to dance generally -do not- prefer a mixture of any other kind of music in with it. You don't hear pop, urban, etc getting played mid-mix in any (proper) club now do you?

Flaunt is my favourite music channel at the moment. I really like the clean look without any of the annoying on screen clutter seen on other Emap channels like Cartshow and B4. I hope they keep it that way.

Emap don't own those channels, they're all owned by the same company.

Haven't seen the new Flaunt, but it ought to be less tacky than it used to be!

Bliss (previously The Amp), Scuzz & Flaunt are now owned by Chart Show TV.

They were originally owned by Sky, then were owned by Sky but run by Chart Show TV. However, earlier on this year they were sold outright to Chart Show TV.

Yeah Chartshow are doing a great job with Flaunt now, i still think the name needs to be changed so people channel surfing know its no longer a gay music channel.

I wish the ywould put the classics show on more and have less of the Flaunt hard as that section tends to be the same videos where the classics are updated every week.

I asked The Vault if they planned to show any classic dance and was told that over the summer they will be adding a summer anthems section to the channel, but they don't want to step on the toes of any of their other channels which explains the refocus on RnB on The Vault.

I must have spoken too soon! Flaunt are now showing the programme title at the top right of the screen, similar to MTV Dance.

Checking the EPG, it looks like Flaunt, and some of the other CSTV channels have new schedules from today.

From what i have seen of Flaunt today, looks like there has been more older stuff added to the playlist, hopefully will pad it out a bit, instead of tunes coming round every 90 minutes, not so sure about the programme info being on-screen, if it has to be there, why not place it nice and small below the Flaunt logo.

The new all dance Flaunt is really good, my only concern was the very heavy rotation of some tracks which would be played up to twice an hour, however it seems more varied now. It would be nice if they introduce some new strands like a Trance hour, Oldskool hour etc to further increase the variety of tracks.

In addition Rapture had made a small comeback as a webstream at www.rapturetv.com/live.php

they should get rid of the Pink & blue logo! - its still looks like a channel that its target audience is homosexual people, when its quite safe to say the channel was a bit of a flop because i think they "stereotyped" them as loving dance music or cheesey pop, when most people listen to a wide range of songs, artists & genres. However, i do like the fact they acutally play music & no Win Win TV or teleshopping (Shame on you Emap with Magic & The Hits for text-along games & the rest for teleshopping) & no HUGE on screen clutter like "NEXT UP IS....." or "THX FOR VOTING SECTION NUMBER ..." or the selection numbers scrolling along the bottom of the screen!
