Julie Gardner interview.

http://www.ifmagazine.com/feature.asp?article=2267

- Martha is in 5 episodes of series 4.
- The hand in the jar is important.
- A classic monster will be back.
- The door is open for John Simm to return.
- The Dennis Hopper rumour was untrue.
- Suggests series 4 will not be RTD's last series.
- Says the 12 regenerations issue is not important (well, duh).

Is it a classic villian who we havn't seen yet like Davros or is it just the Daleks or Cybermen.

Why is the hand important for, something to do with the Daleks or maybe some one uses it to create an evil clone of the doctor now that would be good.

Also what does she mean the 12 rule is not important, is it not important for now cause we are on the 10th or does she mean they are just going to ignore it.

I presume she means that the limit on regenerations is not going to affect the production of the programme or dictate when it should end. Obviously they'll find a way round it when the time comes.

I wouldn't want to see it completely ignored though, I think it should be at least addressed or mentioned in some way with the Doctor gaining a new cycle of regenerations.

It wouldn't surprise we if the story was that the Doctor was given a new cycle of regernerations, just in case he needed them when fighting in the time war. (message to RTD: this idea is copyrighted! )

Before the Julie Gardner interview was published there was someone on the OG forums suggesting the return of something beginning with an S (not slitheen) most likely either the Silurians or Sea Devils as being the most famous eligible creatures (or Sontarans, though then you'd need a joke about similar they look to Judoon to avoid accusations of unimaginative costume design).

So, if Martha is only going to be there for five episodes, and comes into S4 half-way through it - do I understand it correctly that she`ll be written out before they even reach the final episodes?

It did not say 5 consecutive episodes, so she could be there for the final couple of episodes. Even then there is no indication that she is to be written out (normally implying never to return)
