Best Friendships in Soaps

I was watching Friday's episode of Neighbours and saw what a lovely friends Rosie, Pepper and Frazer are.

So I've decided to come up with this thread.

Who do YOU think have the best friendships in soap?

I always thought that Libby and Steph in Neighbours had a fantastic friendship, as did Lyn and Susan.

I really enjoyed Helen and George's friendship in Doctors, but like the two above, it's no longer around.

Though now, I feel that George and Ronnie make the greatest couple/best friends.

I can't think of anyone these days that are fantastic friends...I only really notice it in Neighbours.

Ooh, except Sean and Violet in Corrie, they're great together...as are Steve and Eileen!

Ruby Allen's and Stacey Slaters friendship in EE was quite nice. They had to ruin it didn't they??

Dot and Dennis had a nice one as well. cry:

I think that the more unusual soap friendships work well. Here are some of my favourites

Corrie
- Steve and Eileen
- Becky and the Croppers
- The oldies consisting of Blanche, Rita, Norris, Emily and Doreen. I am looking forward to seeing more scenes with Norris and his new friends.
- Eileen, Frankie, Liz and Deirdre. The Mad Maya episodes were brilliant but the scenes with these 4 were quality. Shame they didn't have more scene. Most of their other scenes together were poor in comparison.
- Vera and Frankie

I think Carla and Hayley could work well as mates too. Ii don't why I think that but it could work

Eastenders
- Tiffany and Bianca
- Stacey and Ruby (pre-Bradley)
- Ben and Abi - I think their scenes are quite cute
- Garry and Minty
- Honey and Dot need more scenes
- Shirley and Heather again, need more scenes
- Dot and Dennis
- Jim and Patrick

I think there is potential for a Bradley and Roxy friendship and potential for Roxy to be a confidant for Ben

Emmerdale
- Rosemary and Zak
- Lexi and Chas. Lexi brings out Chas' fun side
- Jo and Sam. Jo has been a lot more likeable since
- Katie and Perdy (pre Perdy going "barmy")
- Emily and Paul, need more scenes
- Perdy and Paul
- The Emmerdale oldies consisting of Pearl, Betty, Edna, Turner and Sandy

Hollyoaks
- Bombhead and Lee
- Max and OB
- Darren and Zak
- Louise and Carmel
- Jacqui and Becca. Becca, in a way, encouraged Jacqui to get her life back on track.

Perdy and Paul have a wonderful friendship and the chemistry between Georgia Slowe and Mathew Bose is really good... but if Paul decides he wants to put his desire for his best friend's husband before the "best friend" he's ever had (quote) then he might as well leave the village because that isn't him.

Chas and Lexi's friendship is great fun.

I like the nearly paternal relationship between Sally Fletcher and Alf Stewart in Home and Away.

She's probably closer to him than anyone else is, and she still calls him Mr Stewart... aww!
