This is open to all forum members and I hope eerybody witha story does contribute

If you are wondering what prompted this it was a story I saw in the Sun today

'Whites targeted by brutal Asian 5'

A RACE-hate victim suffered permanent brain damage whe he was samshed with an axe for being white, a court heard yesterday

John Payne's skull was so badly broken a girl pal had to hold it together- while the Asian gang continued to punch and kick him

Shards of bone penetrated the 33 year old's brain, leaving him with epilepsy and loss of feeling in his right side

The girl, Jennifer Curren, was also beaten, and another pal badly injured from a blow to his head

They were in a group of five friends walking home from a pub in Stepney, East London

Prosecutor John Price told the Old Bailey: 'It seems they were selected for no other reason then they were of a different ethnic origin'

'For no other reason than they were white'

Other attackers then joined in from neighbouring houses. One carried an ''axe or a sword'', and struck John

Five local men deny attempted murder,GBH, woundng with intent and violent disorder.

They are Johirul Islam,20 his brother Sudral, 23, Mamoon Hussan, 20, Mizan Ahmed, 22, and Delwar Hussain, 21. The trial continues...

I tried to get more background from the net as there might have been something that was omitted.

Unfortunately most of the ones covering ths story are not from websites that I could feel comfortable promoting but I did manage to get one a story from a two local papera.

A MAN whose head was sliced open with a machete by a racist mob as he tried to protect two young women has been left paralysed down one side.

Tower Hamlets police say the gang attack is being treated as racially motivated.

John Payne, 33, a construction superviser for South Quay-based company Construction Resources Ltd, and two friends were viciously set upon by a gang of Asian youths wielding machetes and metal bars in Stepney on April 8.

At around 11.30 pm that night, John was walking two young female friends home after an evening out. The trouble started when John, friends Sarah O'Leary and Jenny Curran, both 21, and Jenny's brother Denny, 19, who also works for Construction Resources Ltd, turned into the car park of Dagobert House, off Jamaica Street.

Det Con McCullogh of Tower Hamlets police said that a gang of between six and nine Asian youths, aged between 16 and 20, were waiting in the car park.

They shouted racist insults at John and his friends, who told them to be quiet. They were then set upon by the gang, which swelled to a mob of 20 as other Asian youths rushed to join in the beating.

Despite John and Denny's attempts to protect her, Jenny was repeatedly punched and kicked, and struck on the head with a metal pole.

Denny and John were both hacked around the head with machetes, leaving John with a deep wound.

Sarah O'Leary was the only member of the group who was uninjured, and was therefore able to call the police.

John was taken to intensive care at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.

He is now paralysed down one side of his body, and has slurred speech and memory loss. He has regained some movement, but it is still uncertain whether he will be able to work again.

"We are treating this as a racist attack because of the language used by the suspects," said DC McCollogh.

Five men were arrested at the scene of the attack. All have been bailed without charge pending further inquiries.

A SOUTH Quay construction superviser may never work again after a horrific attack by a gang of youths left him paralysed down his right side.

John Payne, who oversees refurbishment at London Underground stations for Construction Resources Ltd in Lutomer House, South Quay, was trying to protect two young female friends during the assault in Stepney on Monday, April 8, at around 11.30pm.

His stepfather, Ricky Jackson, said John, 32, was walking home with Sarah O'Leary and Jenny Curran, both 21, and two other men when a gang of youths began shouting at the group.

John told them to go away, but they were set upon, with John and the other two men trying to protect the girls as they attempted to make it to one of the group's houses 15 yards away.

Jenny, according to John's family, was struck on the head and body with an iron bar as John tried to protect her along with Denny Curran, 20, who also works for Construction Resources Ltd, and Paul Whitehall, 30.

The group were then totally outnumbered as "15 or 16 more guys appeared armed with machetes, axes, knives and hammers," according to Mr Jackson, of Beckton. He added: "John was hacked about the head and knocked unconscious and Denny threw himself on top of John fearing that the next blow would kill him. In doing this he was struck with a machete over the back of the head, slicing a large area of scalp to the bone."

When Jenny regained consciousness she held John's split skull together in her hands as they waited for the police to arrive, and John was taken to intensive care at the Royal London Hospital.

He remains in hospital and is paralysed down the right side of his body.

Mr Jackson said: "His skull was crushed with such force that pieces of bone were embedded in his brain.

"The surgeons operated but concluded that it would be more dangerous to remove the fragments and could do him even more harm."

John's cousin Debbie Granger said: "He has got some slight movement back in his fingers, but we are not sure if he will be able to walk again properly, let alone return to work."

John will now need specialist care and counselling, as he is suffering severe depression and has had a couple of seizures since the attack.

Five suspects arrested at the scene have been released on bail from Limehouse Police Station.

How come the 3 examples you have posted seem to show that the antagonists are usualy the Asians.

In most cases its the English that instigate the most attacks and I think its unfair and totaly biased to post 3 examples of Asians attacking English people.

Sorry Pop I just read the headers of the articles, either way why post the article ? why not post us some articles about how White people have give Asians a good kicking to balance things out a little.

I agree, attacks on ethnic minorities are so commonplace that the media rarely report on them. I think this attack has been covered more because of the fact that it's not the norm.

Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth and sadly it's an indictment of modern Britain.

Ahhh thankyou Diddo, I was sooooo shocked when he came out with it.

As a hetrosexual man I took my family and walked out of the church as one day one of my children could grow up to be homosexual and who am I to subject them to such an ignorant and intolerant religion.

I thought God loved us all, well my god does anyhow so thats all what matters.

Yes I have, skinheads with baseball bats. Nothing serious thankfully, bunch of wheezing baldy farts couldn't keep up with me.

Quite a few incidents in my younger years but then I did live in an area which was then quite racist generally.

I am a white male, I have never been subject to racism, however my samoan friend has been accused of being a suicide bomber, p**i and osama, becuase he is a bit dark skinned!!! my black friend has been called a "dirty n****r" while I am with them I would like to add, and I am not ashamed to say the people concerned got a good smack for it too.

I remember not long after the bombings in London, getting off a bus and watching several women check under my seat.

And on a train, a hysterical woman was determined that I take my bag with me even though it wasn't mine. She was quite adamant that I had left it there and was visibly shaken, even though I'd not been near the luggage rack.

Same here m8, I have been out with Asian people who have just wanted a good night out and ended up getting a barage of abuse at the hands of racist biggots who think they can do what they want because they are white.

Luckily they have looked beyond ethnicity and understand that not all white people are the same.
