New theme preview

http://youtube.com/watch?v=jYcki2Nq_fc

You can hear it in this video, very briefly. It's basically the same only more drummy.

Tennant also says "I haven't done a single scene with Billy, but when the series airs, you'll know why"

Let me guess, she can come back, but she can't interact with the doctor?

Wow. I had no idea there was going to be a new theme version. Something to look forward to, as I love following the evolution of that theme.

The

living fat
sounds crap, a bit like 'Smith and Jones' of series 3 and 'Rose' of series 1. Let's hope it's not that bad though. Plus yeah, but I'd of loved to have seen their interaction.

Interesting (latter)

I can see it now

Doctor: "OMG Rose is in this universe? I must not interact with her, I mustn't even catch sight of her, or the sonic wall on the trans-universal sub-space barrier will collapse and the universe will implode"

(some time later)

Martha: "Haha Rose! The Doctor doesn't want to see you!"

Rose: *pouts*

Here's hoping he doesn't film any scenes with her after xmas. I'm worried that RTD might try and shoehorn in another meeting between the two in the finale.
Just had an idea, what would you think if there was a reversal of the scene at the end of doomsday. The doctor standing somewhere in the currect Whoniverse, gets a few minutes with Rose who's in the alternate reality, but her image is fading fast. Just enough time for her to tell the Doctor that she's happy where she is with Micky and is planning a family. She's moved on.

Is anybody else a bit non plussed

spoiler:
that the wall of the Tardis is fixed so quickly during that clip, just by reeling the walls back in. I suppose we should be happy that it's not the sonic screwdriver for once.

Got to admit I'm not to bothered by that...

spoiler:
after all the TARDIS is a living entity in it's own right and we all heal, it would just seem that for the TARDIS it's slightly accelerated or maybe it's more like a scab if you get what I mean?

If it moves the story on quickly then I won't mind too much when sitting down to watch.

They've got 71 mins, they don't really need to do much 'moving on' of the story.

Not really, it's probably a self repair function of the TARDIS, that requires the doctor to get cranking for his life.

As for David Tennants Comments on Billie Piper...

spoiler:
Seems to be pointing towards the Doc lite episode being one where the Doctor is possibly removed from the time line by that trickster fellow from the Sarah Jane Adventures and all manner of wacky things take place. However they haven't filmed the final episodes of series 4 yet (soon though), so Billie might be in those, or appear at the end for the Doctor to be looked shocked and do the what line.

I couldn't find it, that thread is about there being a new theme, this is a preview of it. If I could have found it, I'd of posted it there. No need to get your knickers in a twist.

I couldn't give two hoots - it just struck me an odd thing to do.

The rest was wittering in character.

The 2 seconds of the new theme tune there sounded pretty awful

I'm sure the whole thing will be better though

Did you have the volume turned up? I recorded the bit of the theme, amplified it and played it on loop and it sounds good.

ROTFLMAO!

Although I like both Martha & Rose and am hoping they become friends, that Post really did make me laugh.

Edit:

BTW the New Theme Tune sounded much, MUCH better than what I was expecting it to sound.

From that short sample, It sounds more powerful, the improved drums are better makes it sound angrier and more serious.

edit: And slightly more Retro like the old series.
