LOST Mobisode 13: "So it Begins"- NEEDS Its Own Thread *spoilers*

http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/200...it-begins.html

I've given this a seperate thread because, frankly, it needs discussion, and not everyone visits the spoiler thread nowadays... I'll let you guys discuss it while I go and pick up the pieces of my brain that just went flying all over the room...

Surely it's the smoke monster taking his form like it did with Yemi, Eko's brother.

but why is it considered a spolier: they always said themobisodes were never gonna deal with the main reveals in the actual show

P.S I am scared to look now: if it is in any way S4 related, I not gonna look

I really dont know what to make of this

it could either just be smokie and a hint to this is that smokie is seen 16 seconds in

Or it could actually mean Jack's dad is live and kicking on the island. Maybe the island has resurrecting powers? Not for those who die ON the island but those who die OFF

Or maybe it was all a faked death and Christian is involved with the whole Dharma/Widmore theory

It wouldnt surprise me as he is seen in the previews for the new season sitting in Jacob's hut by Hurley so whether he really does exist or not, the non-mobisode-watching fans of Lost will find out as well whether he really is dead or not

If Yemi was Smoky McSmoke he said "You talk to me as if I was your brother" (or something very close to..) but in this mobisode Christian tells Vincent to go and see "my son".

So not quite the same.

Still confused.

True. And Christian was acting pretty normal which other smoke monster visions like Yemi don't. It suggests he's alive. But would they give something as huge as that away in a mobisode?

It was a bizarre little mobisode, that's for sure! And as performingmonk says, it can't be really as huge as we might be thinking, otherwise they wouldn't put it in a little mobisode 48 episodes away from the end of the show! Or would they?

I don't think this is Christian having been suddenly reincarnated having reached the island. He was too composed and too collected to have just been bought back from the dead! I struggle a little bit to understand how Christian could already be in the island - after all, could he have faked his own death, been "dead" as far as Jack the Master Surgeon could see when he went to identify him, then somehow made his way to the island (presumably by boat or sub) and get there quicker than the 'plane, and know the 'plane was going to crash there even though the Others seemingly didn't, and know there'd be a dog on board? No conceivable way! Plus, Damon and Carlton have repeatedly said that Christian is dead. For real.

So the only available option is that this is a smokey vision (or, whatever caused the vision of Christian the first time, alongside Yemi, the horse, et al - we only assume it's smokey) but why would he/it need Vincent to go wake up Jack? Surely it could have done it itself?

I don't think the three letters WTF have ever been more appropriate...

I reckon the Christian on the island is a clone or twin. He says Jack is his son, and maybe he is. The 'real' Christian might not have been Jack's father.

That is a real WTF moment and I don't really believe that I'm discussing whether Vincent was hallucinating or he encountered a version of smokey.

That is a real head*bleep*

I've really enjoyed the mobisodes. Some have brought new light to the storylines, other have been just funny to watch. The Jin on the golf course episode is hilarious.

Christian Sheppard appeared on the island in the first season, wearing the exact same clothes as he did in this mobisode. I used to think it was just the smoke monster but I'm pretty sure that Smokey doesn't change shape at all, but rather does it all by telepathy so that each viewer would see something different. If someone else had seen Smokey talking to Eko last season they wouldn't have seen Eko's brother. So why would the dog be seeing Christian Sheppard? Answer: He wouldn't.

Damon and Carlton have repeatedly said there are no clones.

But then they said that about time travel as well and we all know what happened there!!

I personally think this is the best of the mobi's mainly because it included Christian AND Vincent But also because the excitement and expectation is ramped up so high now we're so close. I don't think I can stand it any longer.

2 days and counting...

EDIT - Alvar Hanso. Yes Dark's site has a link where all the mobisodes are kept. Well worth checking out.

Have a look at this page: http://losttrailers.blogspot.com/

That's got all of the mobisodes and some trailers and sneak peeks for those so inclined.

The only way to make it less huge than it actually is, is if it was just Jacks dream while he was unconscious. But that would make the whole mobisode totally pointless

That's a good theory, although how would he have known about Vincent or that he was on the island *before* waking up. That'd be one hell of a premonition!

The Monster has always appeared to people on the island as someone from their past. Eko's brother, the horse, Walt, Dave.

This (imo) can't be anything more than a big twist in the thinking of what is going on. I can't see that Christian is a part of Vincent's past, and I don't see why Vincent would conjure up that memory.

Christian was dead when he 'arrived' on the island. Mikhail dies and comes back to life quite regularly. John has seemingly come back to life after being shot.

I've said from very early on that I think that Christian is a big part of what is going on - perhaps even Jacob himself. As the head of surgery of a major LA hospital being cast out because of personal issues, he would have been ripe for plucking by Widmore/Dharma. He may have even started not long after Jack's wife left him as that's when he stopped drinking. When he 'died' in Australia, Jack's mother pretty much forced him to go over and get his body - putting Jack in prime position to 'Find Himself' on the island along with the many others that Christian 'touched' along the way - Sawyer, Ana-Lucia & his daughter Claire. It also seems pretty weird that he was desperate to see Claire so badly just before his death, almost like he knew he was going away.

In the flash forward, Jack makes reference to Christian being alive. People seem to think that was crazy talk, but for all of Jack's condition in those episodes he seemed pretty 'with it' as far as reality was concerned. Depression maybe. Crazy - I don't believe it.
