Virgin Media changelog

Hi,

As a few have suggested, now seems like an appropriate time to bring the old ex-NTL and ex-Telewest changelog threads into one thread.

Where a change pertains to one platform in particular, please note this alongside the change. Thanks!

As posted in the ntl changelog yesterday, this applies to all vm L pack customers:

Ch 219 Discovery Science and
Ch 274 Discovery Real Time Extra

These appear to have been added to the Large tv pack. Perhaps a prelude to some more channels launching for XL customers?

Also:

Ch 173 E! Entertainment
Ch 736 Pop
Ch 737 Tiny Pop

also seem to have been added to the Large tv pack in the past few months.

Virgin Groove now broadcasting a test tone.

This was supposed to close down months ago, but stayed on air! Not sure how long this tone has been on though.

Not sure if this is worthy of a post but here goes

Eurosport will go widescreen on May 25th 2008

Quote:
The channel, a direct simulcast of the existing international feed, will also have coverage of the Tour de France and the Beijing Olympics. At the same time Eurosport will migrate its standard definition services from 4:3 to the 16:9 picture format.

Good News!

Good News!
Hopefully that will also apply to British Eurosport too. Would be nice to see another channel go widescreen. Then, for all the Sky HD people, all we need then is British Eurosport HD!

Channels 109 and 300 have stopped broadcasting previews. Not sure if this is just temporary or if they have given up on this feature.

I'm personally glad, it used to annoy the hell out of me anyway!

Good! I hate looking at On Demand and having the same stupid adverts playing over and over. They have never made me think "oh i'll watch that" and even make me leave OD because they are so loud and distracting, when trying to browse.

They are, however, both broadcasting the same feed-music on demand.

At least they're not showing the 'Filmflex, Filmflex has over 500 films to choose from' thing about a million times a day.

As shown here!

Surprisingly enough, any new channels or radio stations added will appear across the whole VM service.
