Barry's remarks should have garnered more votes for Sarah rather then less.

Does he actually serve a purpose.

even Bruce Forsythe would serve more of one.

Pompeybrum, is the look you're referring to the one of confusion when Barry told her she had a limited range of expressions? I think that was because, and ALW admitted this, The Lord had instructed her to tone down her acting- and her following this direction lead to criticism.

Anyway, I don't know how it's appropriate to this thread! Lol!

I think the Nancys seem like a genuinely friendlier bunch then the Marias did... Then again, maybe we're just not shown the bitchiness to the same extent! Lol!

It probably wasn't even voluntary, for goodness sake, just an uncontrollable reaction. I get fed up of the slightest spark of personality being jumped on as arrogance.

that would explain why there is no delete option when you edit and the post does not disappear completely, then.

The look was one of shock and confusion towards ALW, not Barry, not arrogance. It was just a look of 'well if I do exactly what ALW tells me to, and that's not good enough, how DO I impress you Barry?" It was a natural impulse reaction, and her face looked strikingly similar to mine and the rest of the panel's when Barry came out with that comment.

Nevertheless, my main point was, if my reaction (and I'm sorry if it doesn't meet with approval here) was the same as many other peoples, could that explain her low vote?

Same. And most of the other Nancys too. They panned over, and Niamh in particular had her "eh?!" face on.

I was just coming to post that! Lol. Though I was going to describe it as a "WTF?" face.

I think I saw more tears when she left than anyone else.

That was Ben and it was an acting class where the boys had to go close up and say something they didn't like about them. That was quite mild and better than Daniel who copped out from telling Lewis something bad.

I have noticed that the Nancys don't seem to hug each other as much as the Josephs. Especially at the sing offs when the boys always seemed to give each other a supportive hug both before and after the song

I wonder if they'll do a task like that again... could be interesting.

Thank you - I did wonder when someone said she was a mother. Maybe they meant mother figure.

You all make the mistake of thinking you know what someone is like because of the way they look. You assume a petite bubbly blonde is "nice" or "sweet". You assume a taller darker girl not so much. I know Rachel and Sarah. Both are nice girls. Sarah has her ruthless determined side and WILL have been annoyed with Barry for suggesting she was less than perfect. SO WHAT!
As for group dynamics, many of the girls were acquainted before and so may have formed friendships; their relative ages will also have a bearing. Also at least one is gay - this would affect dynamics as much as if you suddenly threw a boy in there.
Anyway - do any of you know a group of more than 3 or 4 girls who all get along all of the time?

A curious part of me wants to ask who? Lol. I don't think it's that relevant to how the girls interact with one another though. Unless one of the other girls was a raging homophobe...

So when lots of people named Niamh as one of the friendliest, sweetest girl in the competition, they were mistaking her for a bleach blonde?! I don't think appearance has anything to do with it, it's about the personality they show.
