Don't worry, she'll think of something else to make sure SHE is the centre of attention as usual even if the single bombs

She can't help herself

Oh please let it be true.
She has done nothing to deserve her fame. It was obvious she only went on BB to use it for her ego trip.
I don't mind people using BB as a stepping stone but she gave nothing back and had an easy ride.

She has a nice voice. Maybe if this single flops, she should try a different approach, something like Eva Cassidy perhaps? I'm being serious here, honest.

I'll be absolutely stunned if it doesn't make top 20

If it is not a success, maybe she could turn her hand to puppetry.

I figure Chanelle has a very good idea how well this single is gonna do - the interest is extraordinary, and she's been out signing copies already. Can't see her recording a whole albums-worth of tracks for nothing somehow

What a joke.
The outrageous amount of PR will ensure she at least gets in the charts, then she can claim a success.
Is it true that she done a blog on myspace asking her 21,000 friends to buy the cd to prove the haters ( her words not mine ) wrong.
Mootle Chanelle could only ever dream to have anything close to the class eva cassidy had.
Chanelles approach is..well youve seen the video

Is it a threat or a promise she will quit.

Where is this extraordinary interest you talk about, I havent heard one person say they have heard it on the radio.
How can she know how well it will do is she psychic!
I hear she is asking her myspace friends to support her and buy the song

You know what....I actually rather admire her for saying that. She's not making any claims to be anything other than a manufactured act who's just having a go. Fair play to her

Desperation is the word I would say, her time's nearly up and she knows it....

Desperate marketing ploy to make sure people go and buy the album so she can extend her shelf life into BB9.

If she thinks she is going to steal the BB9 housemates spotlight, then she is sadly mistaken

Indeed.
What number did samanda get to in the chart, makes you wonder if they employed the same PR tactics on the same scale how high a chart position would they have got.

This is simply a bit of face saving PR (just in case things don't go as planned).

If it flops then her record label wouldn't bother to release a second single regardless of what she wants.

Barbie girl entered the charts at number 26

Samanda just got on with their single quickly and quietly and didn't have to ram it down our throat every day

Although there wasn't a TV series or puppet show I seem to remember Barbie Girl being heavily publicised by the usual means.

I think my favourite bit is the fact she's had to have lessons in how to hold a mic.

"Now pick it up...thats right...with your fingers...now...no no, don't put it THERE..."

wow I was gonna go for top 40 but that would be great!

I think being a first time artist, not being a novelty song, plus having the BB tag and it being a year on from BB theres a lot going against her. But i do think its a decent pop song and the Dance mix is good in the clubs
