Crap, I've just eaten some undercooked salmon...

...I think! It was kinda chewy(ish) but it looked pale so it seemed cooked. My mouth tastes kinda sour now.

I'm going through GCSE exams at the moment so I don't want to be ill!

How undercooked? If it was still only slightly pink in the middle you should be OK. Lots of Chefs advocate cooking some fish 'slightly' underdone. Salmon is one of them.....

Raw fish is fine. The Japanese eat it a lot. Some fish though have worms in their stomachs.

Good luck with your exams. GCSE exams are a walk in the park compared with third year university ones.

Its very unlikely to make you ill. Japanese eat raw salmon all the time as Sushi.

That makes me feel better! It was generally pale but looked a tad piny in the centre.

You should be OK. Mostly it's shellfish that can be dangerous if undercooked or not cooked at all.

when you get sushi though it is (or should) be very very fresh...

maybe thats why it tasted sour, it might have been a few days old - eeeewwww!!!

anyway, you'll be ok. In my sisters house when she was uni, some lads put a fish head in another lads closet for a laff... of course a few days later it started stinking to high heaven. anwyay, this one lad dint have any money and they were all going out on the lash, so they said they'd give him a fiver each if he ate the fish head. £25 to a student is lot of beer money (well in them days it was lol) so he ate it, crunched and swallowed - all captured on camera too. He immediatly reverse ate it however and it was quite sick. It was funny to watch though - even hough i am retching here.

he survived.

Oh and this was teacher training uni too hahahahaa - he is probably head of year now!

blurgh!!!

I can not watch him eat! I understand he has to survive but he takes too much pleasure in grabbing small snakes, ripping thier heads off and cruching down on thier bleeding bodies, chewing with his mouth open, spitting bits of snake everywhere as he tell us how disgusting they taste, body wriggling in hand...!

(You wouldnt want to be stuck out here for long, thats for sure)
