Royal Ascot - live apology

A few mins ago Clarie Balding was standing with someone, a fashion expert? I just caught the end.

Anyway, they were apologising if he offended anyone and said he really didn't mean to.

Anyone know what happened?

Did he say willie carson was a f***ing sh*t ?
Which to be honest would have been appropriate had it been directed toward the fashion guy james sherwood

I'm not surprised.

The so-called fashion "expert" James Sherwood is a complete ****

I think he said that he said things out of order at times and of course you must not offend anybody at royal ascot, namely the punters, viewers and other people, so the guy whose name I can not remember said that he apologised in advance if he offended anybody at all.

Having to apologise for that is a bit much, but it's about typical of this ridiculous country.

Perhaps people should have watched the whole programme, based on a previous item in the programme about Royal Ascot fashions during wartime and immediately after, the description of War Widows for the fashions being described at the time, of this alleged indiscretion, was appropriate, in fact it was very observant.

Sherwood has been doing a superb job this week.
