Top Gear audience question
Just went here : http://www.applausestore.com/applaus...hp?id=15&bid=5
And it says you need equal amounts of the same sex to book tickets. So in other words, if a man, you need a woman with you too. If 5 men then you need 5 women too. Any idea why this is ? Are all audience TV shows like this ? |

In the first (and possibly second) series of Top Gear II, the audience was mostly blokes whose appearance was 'aesthetically challenged'... the producers weren't happy (because unlike most TV shows, the TG audience is quite conspicuous/not sitting under dim lighting), so they introduced the 'you must bring along some women' rule in order to make the show look better (note how the more attractive ladeez are usually at the front of the audience during 'the news' etc.)

Yeah, I noticed there always seems to be some lurvely ladeez in shot!
One other TG audience question..... In the last series, Jeremy would say "I've been on the internet, and found this....." You could never see what he'd been looking at when watching Top Gear, but if anyone was in the audience, did they actually show the "dodgy pictures" in the studio? |

Yeah the equal sex is to stop it becoming an all male car bore audience lol. but you can have more women than men, just not vice versa.
As for the picture, yeh they did show it in the studio, hence the audience reaction, and err, you probably dont wanna see it lol! ill just say its a man who really loves his Land Rover...

![]() ![]() ![]() That's so funny about getting women along to be in the audience as, since it changed format, Top Gear has always reminded me of boys fooling around the sixth year common room, desperate to impress the girls but failing miserably. There's the big guy who's nice but makes crap jokes, he'll throw good parties to which everyone will go but he'll never get a snog. Then there's his pal who makes even worse jokes, he thinks the big guy's great and maybe he'll be popular by association. Then there's their pal the stoner who spends his nights analysing the lyrics from 'Supper's Ready' or 'Stairway'. Even the crazzzy seats are straight out a 6th year common room. |

If you get tickets don't worry about your party being mixed group of male and females they didn't check didn't check when I went.
They had to move a young blonde girl over to our side of the studio as we were to ugly. I will post some screen grabs if anyone wants to see me on top gear. |

tbh as they are generally pretty good looking I don't think we should complain.
Hang-on, sticking birds at the front of the audience so we can goggle them is anti-PC shirley? |

That range rover pic is tame compared to goatse (and what he is wearing is more shocking than what he is actually doing), but I'm not that bothered goatse (seen worse things in surgery pictures etc.) However, things like tubgirl and 2girls1cup make me squirm... yech...
