Dirty Dancing - Time Of Your Life
This can be a thread for general discussion aswell as I don't see one yet, but just a quick question to start it off.
I recorded the 2am repeat and it was only an hour long. However I just noticed the first show (and all the other repeats at a reasonable hour) was a 2 hour show. And next week is the same with a 1 1/2 hour show and the 2am repeats an hour. Any one know why this is? Thanks for any help

Can't help I'm afraid, but it was a real mix up yesterday. No sign of it in my TV guide and when I checked via my Vbox it was wrongly titled 'America's Next Top Model'! I managed to tape the last half hour on ntl channel 111. (That was for 2 hours). Did you manage to catch the Dance Off?

Yea I am not too sure what is going on! It was in my TV Guide for 7pm-9pm Sunday night but my Sky planner showed Next Top Model aswell. So I managed to get the 1.5 hour show on Living +1. I am not sure what I managed to get yet lol I haven't watched the show yet. So this week there has supposedly been a 2hr, 1.5 hr and 1 hour show all of the first episode!
![]() I was thinking that maybe the hour shows are just highlights of the longer shows but then wasn't sure if they would really cut that much out. Very confusing

I've missed loads then. The Girls/Guys Dance Off is shown during the last half hour of the 2 hour show (Sun pm) so I managed to record the last half hour and watch the rest (something wrong with my VBox temporarily which is why I couldn't record it all). It was brilliant. I'm really going to enjoy this series. When's the next showing? Is it Wed pm do you know? I don't trust my TV guide or Programme planner anymore!! |

![]() Yes the first showing of the new episode each week is Wednesday at 9pm. This week it is down for 1.5 hours. I think it is safer to try and catch this one instead of dealing with the repeats again! |

I watched the first series and loved it. Anyone know why Jennifer Ellison was replaced as host.
I only managed to watch the hour show too.

So it's 4 of us now!
Which one is Pamela tm.a? I've only watched one show so not familiar with all the faces to names. Would quite have liked J Ellison as host, not keen on the one we have (forgotten her name). Did you pair catch the Dance Off? |

, as for the show like others i was loving it last year and the affair has well and truly continued this year!! lol, i thought last weeks show was brilliant, Chantelle and Vincent's dance was amazing and they were deserved winners, their chemistry was clear to see, in the episode tonight i was disappointed to see they had been spilt up by that bald guy and in the end that's what cost Chantelle, how on earth she was expected to perform miracles on her own with a chair is beyond me and when you consider that one of the other girls fell on the floor i think letting Chantelle go was extremely harsh, it was also scanderlous that when she danced with Vincent the judges claimed she was "this generations baby" and then after her performance tonight they were so scathing, saying she was "the most technically weak on the show", what a bloody contradiction, right now i'm backing Vincent to go very far and i'm looking forward to next weeks show already lol.

I thought that was an awful decision too. And very unfair.I dont know why but I cant take to Kelly as a host, even though I like her usually. I'm still learning their names but one of the lads (Tyler?) was sensational yesterday. |

there was a girl in week 1 who was rather week (brown bob) and she was an aerobic champion but didn't have much dance experience. i thought that she was a lot better last night.
still think that kelly brook is more bothered about herself than bringing anything to the show. |

Hey! I'm obsessed by this show!
I thought Pamela and Vincent were great too last week. I too thought the decision to get rid of Chantelle was really harsh at first but I was thinking about it again whilst I watched it (for the second time) and I kind of think working on your own is also an advantage because to choreograph two people is really hard and she could have been a lot neater with her moves. She danced like a 9 year old imo! I really can't stand that Emma either and she keeps winning everything! I've got a feeling she's going to be in the final but I do hope I'm wrong. I like Donna and Kade best I think

Well last nights episode was decent, i thought the two girls fighting over Tobias was so silly, he's not even the best dancer out of the men and it's clear some were picking who they fancied rather than dancing ability, to see my boy Vincent in the bottom three was a shock, and it was an even bigger shock to see Ashley pick him after basically slagging him off behind his back prior to the partner picks, then when she noticed she got probably the best dancer of the lot she suggested it was "fate that they are partners" lol, YEAH RIGHT
, i don't know if anyone else has noticed but Vincent seems to be doing the best when it comes to the challenges, for example when the when the salsa teacher came in last week he picked him as the best one, then today the hip-hop teacher came in and also picked him as the best one, and on top of that Vincent has already won a dance off with Chantelle and won the Salsa challenge when he danced with Kelly today, i even thought he was gonna win the dance off with Ashley but i guess that was too much to ask , he's doing so well and that's why i've tipped him to make the final, next week looks very interesting with some hot kissing going on between a pair and i'm guessing the judges are gonna be doing the partner picks this week too, i wouldn't mind seeing Vincent with Donna next week to see how they do.

Hey you guys!
I'm loving this series. As usual, after the last one, I thought it wouldn't be as good but I'm really enjoying it. I missed the 2 hour start too and only saw one that lasted 90 minutes on Living. It's not like they broadcast that this is on do they? I reckon if this was on mainchannels it would do well, most of my friends don't have Sky etc. but would love to watch anything to do with Dirty Dancing. |

I'm absolutely fuming about tonights show, let me get this straight, Chantelle is forced to dance on her own without a partner or much time to rehearse a routine and she gets sent home in a heartbeat, then two couples tonight danced having had more time to rehearse their piece but the judges "couldn't make a decision" to send one home?
, what a fraud, that was a blatant double standard, even the kissing scenes were a joke, the message was "snog eachothers face off and you'll win", it was scanderlous, now to the good things about tonight, once again my boy Vincent came out on top , how ironic that his partner (and the second one in a row) was trying to have a go at him behind his back but yet again he made his dance partner look good, he carried her tonight, look how Ashley looked without him?, she was too busy trying to snog Tobias rather than dance , next weeks previews look interesting, i see that Caolife broad is gonna be caught cheating on her boyfriend with the man she danced with tonight, needless to say i'm not surprised, from the start she looked a little promiscuous , and the problem is in the introduction of the show where they play the music there's a glimps of what happens on the show and she's clearly seen doing a routine with my boy Vincent so i think they dance together soon , i hope she doesn't drag the great man down as Vincent can only carry his partners for so long.

Emma and Tobias. I loved Tobias at the begnning, but he wasn't outstanding tonight and 2 of the dances were really fantastic.
Welcome to the real world Emma, where sometimes we have to go make-up less. Not sure that you can see my "soul" though, just a lot of wrinkles and bags under my eyes. Sheesh, she sounded pretentious in her farewell speech, even though she WAS let down by her partner.

Disappointed that Emma went, she was one of my favourites. From the girls I really hope that Pamela wins now but suspect it might be Donna.
Vincent is my favourite for the boys but I can't see Vincent and Pamela pairing up unless Caoife takes James, but as Pamela and James pick first next week I'm hoping Pamela is safe for another week! |
