The RICHARD ARMITAGE Appreciation Thread

An appreaciation for the talented and handsome Richard Armitage who is currently in Spooks and Robin Hood and has been in North and South and The Vicar of Dibley

I am seeing alot of him lately and i cant wait till Robin Hood Series 3 returns, i love him as Guy Gisbourne - the character is very complex, there's many sides to him esp when he is with Marian and to see what happens next esp after a shocking Series 2 finale and i like the pairing of Guy and Marian

I havent seen North and South yet, but i know ppl have said its great and loved Richard in it

And just like him i was born in Leicester as well, and currently living

Any Richard fans?

Hi, I'm Aimee and I'm a Richard-aholic. The first thing I ever saw him in was North and South - such a beautiful piece of period drama with fantastic acting all round. This is where Richard first caught my eye. Have been following Robin Hood avidly and am enjoying his turn as Guy of Gisbourne immensely. Now, I have taken to watching Spooks, which I have never watched before, and found myself enjoying it too.

Nice to see that there are other fans out there!

*stands up for Richard*

Another massive fan here. Have loved everything he's ever done. He's a great actor and is also the most beautiful man I've ever seen.

My sister and I saw him - in the flesh - in Foyles bookshop in Charing Cross Road. Absolutely gorgeous in real life - long black leather coat, black trousers.

He was on Breakfast earlier in the week talking about Spooks.

On Breakfast he said he is bringing a little of Guy of Gisbourne into the part of Lucas North in Spooks. What do you think of the tattoos?

A big Richard fan here!

First saw him in Cold Feet - that series from years ago with John Thompson, Hermione Norris, James Nesbitt etc. He wasn't a main character, he was a gym instructor (I think) who had an affair with the Aussie girlfriend/wife of John Thompson's character.

Anyway, I thought then he was a bit lovely..... and now he's everywhere and I can get my fix more or less every day. Hurrah!

He is brilliant in Sparkhouse, he can really act and shows it in this production. He plays a bit of a solid honest bloke who is led a dance by the lead female character. Well worth picking up on DVD or recording if it is ever repeated.

*That* scene at the end of North and South gets me every time, as does the scene where he says 'look back at me'... *sigh* Plus he looks fetching in black leather as Guy, of course!

Oh dear, that's me unable to do any work for a while!

John Standring was such a lovely part for Richard. He did such a fantastic job. Sparkhouse fan video (be sure to watch the very end, past the credits--it's one of the best parts):
