laryngitisgate!!

Diana was let off because she couldn't sing a Mariah song?

I think so.

Laryngitis = Steve Brookstein singing whilst he had it.

It's wrong that Diana was let off.

I'm really not sure what to make of it but am not happy she was allowed through to next week automatically.

It's one rule for one and then anyone else who has an illness, they're OUT! That's what I'm confused about!
In the beginning when shy little Diana was oh so 'terrified', the judges were oh so kind to her, no matter how dreadful she may have sounded. They seem to pamper her, and her only.

I would have thought Simon would vote Ruth off, so that he can have his wicked way with her! Afterall, it wouldn't be fair whilst she was in the show could we? Or could we?

I really don't understand how some people can think she faked her illness because she couldn't sing a Mariah song I mean it's laughable really She pulled of Disco week, why wouldn't she of pulled of Mariah? the girl was ill, she can't help being ill, she wanted to sing,so badly, you could see that in her VT.

She should have sung then! Pulled herself together and got on that stage. It's her decision isn't it?

But she would of damaged her voice, and what would be the point of singing if she can't? it would of been awful! Also if she can't even talk properly and the hell could she of sing?

I had Laryingitis earlier this year and had no voice for over a week so I can see why she didn't sing.

She wimped out, as for laryngitis, poppycock, she strained her voice with her affected style and she will always do so. She yodelled through Blondies "Call Me" and as said by Will Young, she was straining it in training to get the top note.

She is the favoured one, the quirky one, the one with no shoes, the one with cooky hair, the one with funny hand movements, shes bound to be favourite and thought of as the most original act since sliced bread.

I feel for Diana, although I think an automatic pass is unfair. But I'm not sure what could have been done instead.

I totally believe her and everything... but I am curious as to where this bonfire video fits in. Must have been before she got ill but it looks a bit dodgy because we're only seeing it now.

I think probably Diana is the favoured one. Can't help but find it all a bit suspicious about Diana's laryngitis. Maybe I'm just being cynical?
I noticed that Diana when she was lying on her sick bed was made up to the nines and the lip gloss was laid on a bit thickly.

Didn't this happen to Alexandra a couple of weeks ago. She couldn't practice all week and the judges were worried that her voice would cut out halfway through? She attempted it and she made it through. Diana didn't even attempt to do anything and I think it's wrong they gave her a break

Rules are made, are they not?

Why for one and not another?

Why did those who had throat infections/laryngitis or whatever illness, still have to sing?

It's unfair and that's all there is to it.

Exactly!!!!

Right let's imagine this, Diana has a concert, all her Fans have bought and paid for tickets, getting excited at listening to her. Then, blow me, an illness occurs, the Concert is cancelled. Are all her Fans going to be best pleased? Oh...it's Diana afterall.

I don't think she faked, but I'm not certain she should have been allowed to perform next week either. Would they have done that for another contestant. I'm not sure?

She should have been put automatically into the bottom two.

Like I said, why rule for one and not another? Let's face it, Diana will get away with EVERYTHING, just because she's Diana.

Don't people understand the illnesses can be more severe for one person then they are for someone else?? The reason why some people are allowed to sing is that they have improved enough before the live show.
For Diana her laryngitis probably was bad enough that the doctor said she shouldn't sing. It can ruin a singers career if they try to sing with laryngitis.

Grrrrrrrr, I'd better not watch this video.

Yes she's ill alright, because she put herself in that position. But, had it been some other Contestant who did that, they'd be out I'm sure.

Oh poor Diana. If she's so ill, why did she scream at the top of her voice at a fireworks party I hear she attended?

That's her own fault, therefore, she should have been singing a song, quietly, or eliminated.

We, and you don't know when that was filmed, this has nothing to do with her being the fav or whatever, you are only saying this becuase you don't like her, it's the same with the other Diana dislikers.
