Official X Factor 2009 Auditionee Thread
There seems to be loads of these threads being created so I thought it would be a good idea to have just one where anyone who is applying for next years X Factor can discuss song choices etc and get words of criticism and encouragement from the DS Peers! Also people who have been before can share their storys.
I am not sure if I am going to apply this year as I am waiting till after the new year to decide, personal reasons. Who else is applying, if I do apply I would most probably sing One Last Cry by Brian Mcknight as its my mums fav song. You guys? I will post a clip of my singing asap aswell! ![]() Btw Merry XMAS for yesterday ! |

Im gonna go for it next year to. I can't wait but I get really nervous even thinking about it.
Ive got a very deep but powerful voice with rather nice range (that can get abit out of control Rachel style at times). I need to tone myself down a little and get my voice under control. I sing powerballads, softrock, soul, disco and rnb.. Ive also recently made a list of possible songs to! Anastacia - Left Outside Alone, One Day In Your Life Irena Cara - Out Here On My Own Dead or Alive - Turn Around And Count To Ten Aerosmith - Dream On Heart - Alone Chaka Khan (style) - My Funny Valentine Meat Loaf - Not A Dry Eye In The House Whitney Houston - I Have Nothing, One Moment In Time Tpau - China In Your Hand BWO - Chariots Of Fire Brandy - Right Here Bon Jovi - Always Donna Summer - MacArthur Park, Hot Stuff Kelly Rowland - Work Natalia - Fragile Not Broken Bonnie Tyler - Rebel Without A Clue, Total Eclipse Of The Heart Tamia - Stranger In My House No Doubt - Dont Speak, Bathwater Cher - Strong Enough Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me, Save The Lies Jamelia - Stop KD Lang - Dont Smoke In Bed, Hallelujah Joe Crocker - You Are So Beautiful Toni Braxton - Wasnt Man Enough For Me Amy Winehouse - You Sent Me Flying Jennifer Holiday - And I Am Telling You Prince - Purple Rain Celine Dion - All By Myself Christina Aguilera - Hurt, Fighter Elton John - Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word Led Zepplin - Stairway To Heaven Shakira - Objection, Don't Bother Corrine Bailey Rae - Just Like A Star Metal Gear Solid theme - Snake Eater |

Hi Guyball! I love your list of songs, in that its music I am really into - but i would say these songs are hard to sing! You must have a really cool voice (assume you are male), who do you sound like? Anyways i would go for the Interpol one - i love them!

Theres the confidence thing overall I guess. At school, which was ages ago it was ok and I would have people saying I could sing, but that was about 4/5 years ago so its different now. Ive thought about uploading stuff here, but again its the nerves of other people hearing it, especially if they then say im rubbish lol. Did you say you auditioned last year??

Heres another couple I was thinking of.. Hallelujah http://www.singsnap.com/snap/watchan.../play/bfe665ee I loved this song before it was the chosen winners song. I don't know if it would be such a smart idea singing it next year though. Snake Eater http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8Hg-I7rITjw To make the judges go "What the hell!?" ![]() I was also randomly trying out songs today. I tried a sorta laid back version of "A Wonderful Word" complete with terrible random scatting in the middle (which is a stupid habit I need to sort out). http://www.singsnap.com/snap/watchAn...play/bd1261630 Im stilll lost as to what to sing. Im still discovering my voice

I love you singing Hallelujah, but I think you probably shouldn't sing it at the audition, what with it being this years song and everything... |

I really liked Hallelujah and the what a wonderful world. The thing is with hallelujah its sort of tainted isnt it? Like if anyone went and sung bleeding love, its sort of pointless?

I was annoyed when they announced that as the winners song as I did have it planned as my audition piece. I suppose I could get away with it. I remember a man sung When You Believe this year. It probably would not wise though so ill avoid it.
