Price Drop has been removed and a placeholder for Quest has appeared on Mux A at LCN47. No video yet.

47? I think its time there was another EPG reshuffle (preferably separating out channels in the "entertainment" section a little more.

I have a feeling Quest might struggle at LCN47. I wonder how many people will cross the dross and encrypted section (ranging from roughly 22 to 46) of the EPG? I rarely get as far as even the small island around ITV4, Film4 or E4 (channels that surely survive through reputation and cross promotion) never mind all the way to 47.

Like Sky did with their recent reshuffle. Well, they were like that anyway they just moved the sections around a bit and made space for new channels in each section.

If you have a Freeview box with genuine favourites that can be re-ordered like mine, then Quest is put at the top of the list after Five!

@ IanDF

A few of us have been discussing the channel location in another thread, it really does seem like a poor choice for a new channel. hopefully there will be a reshuffle somewhere down the line...

Would it not make sense to find out what the content is like before bumping it right to the top like that?

Could be crap.

I could watch Discovery Channel all day, so I am hopeful. Discovery are using Quest to get more subscription customers so they are bound to make it good. IMHO it is the best channel to come to Freeview since it started.

Agree 47 is a bad LCN.

So is Quest just exclusive to freeview then, about time they had just a channel exclusive, mind you though we did see what happened to ABC1.

I could watch Discovery all day too, well before it went downhill at least.

Well, they won't make it good enough to challenge their subscription channels.

I hope it is a great channel, and I am looking forward to seeing some good discovery programming.

But.....

I am not counting my chickens, and am predicting something rubbish so I can be pleasantly surprised.
