South Park Season 13 US Pace - Cult

Just found out season 13 of South Park airs March 11th 09. So I will be able to watch it the next day lol. I wonder if it will be any good this season? Oh and apparently I also read about it being screened in HD?

This season I want to see more Jimmy and Timmy, what about you?

I meant to reply to this thread when you first created it Britgirl. Sadly, as was shown with my Season 12 thread last year, there's not much call for South Park talk here!!

Looking forward to this year but hoping to see an increase in quality. I've felt things have become a tad erratic with South Park the last couple of years and that there have been a few stinkers among the episodes. You're right though, there are certain characters who have been criminally under-utilised!! I don't really know anything about the Jonas Bros so I'm sure half of the premiere will be lost on me lol:

I saw an advert for a new series on paramount on fridays..

Is this going to be at the same episode pace then??

I wouldnt mind waiting only an extra day for it if thats the case.

Doubtful. Given the past pacing, Paramount will now be showing the second half of Season 12.

Yes. Season 12 was also produced in HD and will be released on blu-ray tomorrow (at least in the United States).

It is, however, hard to imagine a show that benefits less from being in HD than South Park, except the Simpsons.

I'm glad to have them in the proper 16:9 format though.

As it happens, they released "Good Times With Weapons" in HD on XBox Live a couple of years back and I was quite surprised at how big a difference HD made to South Park!

i loved the scene where the girls were talking about the jonas brothers only bringing them backstage for one reason, then the brothers appeared and all their mouths popped open ..

Bloody hell that's good news!

It seems to suggest they've actually got the rights to broadcast S13 now so we'll be getting the episodes literally 2 days after the states.

I stand corrected! I've not had Sky for almost two years now so I was only working on the basis of how they used to do things. That's another show that we're basically on US pace for- great news!

To the show overall. It's hard to explain really but it was just so...... highly defined lol

This episode was fantastic! How the hell did they get away with having Mickey Mouse in it? Especially with the stuff that he was saying! All Disney execs should be forced to watch this episode, along with the Jonas Brothers themselves who would probably laugh at it!

This was a lot funnier than most of season 12.

On the Sky website it says that it's the season 13 premiere at 10pm. However the Virgin TV guide seems to think that it's Britney' New Look. Can't see why Paramount would repeat an old episode after advertising the fact they're showing a brand new one though.
