Didn't she leave due to her mothers illness and then her father I believe was diagnosed with Alzheimers.

She's had a few other presenting roles since, including a couple of documentaries on dementia, which her father suffers from and her mother died of.

She has a regular radio slot on Smooth FM on Sundays.

She has semi-retired due to family commitments and to look after her children.

She did stand in for Matthew Wright on his show, and has even appeared on question time.

Feef never 'retired' from TV anyway, she just quit the long hours at GMTV in order to spend more time with her family....well, allegedly.

Since then she has been turning up on anything and everything - radio show (axed), Loose Women (not asked back) and has had to settle for an Olay ad, realising that she still needs the work after all.

no............ I think you will find that she WAS THE HARDEST WORKING MOTHER IN THE UNIVERSE!!!

her infamous statement has to be typed in capitals and emboldened for dramatic effect so that us mere mortals can understand and appreciate just how difficult her everyday as a GMTV presenter was ....... those early mornings!! sometimes she was still working in the studio at 10.00am!!

I wonder if she regrets giving up such a lucrative job? Is her marriage any better? Is she seeing more of her kids and her Dad?

OK, we regards to the previous posts, we know she had to be at the studio earlier than when she actually went on air - there's all that hair and make-up to do for a start! Didn't she get picked up at about 3.30 am?

BUT, how many of us actually get chauffeur driven to work? She was still doing much less hours than your average working woman. She worked 3 or at the very most 4 days a week FGS but she seems to be upset because she couldn't walk her kids to school in the mornings!! Eh? She was on a huge salary for doing what she did. She could have picked her kids up FROM school! Then there's her Dad. She has 2 brothers - where are they in all this looking after their Dad? Unless they live abroad, what's their excuse for not helping out so much? Why should the care all fall on her?

If it wasn't that her hubby is on an even better wage than her she wouldn't even have had the option of quitting! Most women don't have this wonderful option, they work because they have to. They have to listen to their kids asking them not to go to work and just get on with it (it was a favourite cry of hers that her kids hated her working and 'not being there').

She drove me mad moaning about how she did everything in the house etc. Well get your lazy arsed hubby to help out then! Or employ someone to help - she had the money after all And worst of all was her declaration that 'Women Can't Have It All!' - eh, yes we can, especially if we have good people to back us up and help out Her mantra should have been 'Women Shouldn't Have To Do It All' especially if they work.

She sounds a bit like a doormat to me and should have rousted the lazy men in her family to do their fair share.

Rant over!!!!

You mean she still IS THE HARDEST WORKING MOTHER IN SHOWBIZ/TV/PLANET EARTH/THE UNIVERSE!!

I think she genuinely believes quitting GMTV was a bad move. It was a lucrative role and she most likely had job security for several more years.

Now she's just another jobbing presenter scrabbling around trying to compete for work at a time when there are big cutbacks being made.

I would guess she is kicking herself for giving up a great job, and now resorting to doing adverts and odd jobs here and there. I always liked her and thought she was a good person to have on gmtv in the mornings.

Penny wotsit is total dork on gmtv, who on earth write the jokes that go flat? Someone obviously who dislikes her.

Penny has been on the show for years. Perhaps her 'unique' jokes are all her own work??!

True!

The odious bint has a chip on her shoulder the size of New York - I wish she's bugger off and do what she said she'd do - look after her family, as we probably see more of her than they do, unfortunately for us!

It's obviously not just the viewpoint of us *haters* - her axed radio show wasn't popular and she wasn't approached for the vacant presenting role on Loose Women, which tells a story in itself.

She looks like she's had cheek fillers in that advert

Actually, I'm considering getting some Olay - I mean, look at her face in the ads! She looks like a new woman, fair play to her, so obviously she's spent many hours since netting the deal applying the stuff, and now we're seeing the results!
