EastEnders: Masood/Jane - 'a real connection'

Monday, March 9 2009 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One
Zainab and Ian are at loggerheads over their business venture, while Masood and Jane find a real connection.

I am very intrigued about this connection, for now i think they find they have things in comman and they have conversations and enjoy each others company etc, unlike Ian and Zee who just like to bicker and nit pick on small things all the time lol

Many of us love Zee and Mas as a couple, and are still very much in love with each other, but i think Syed is going to be a problem of them like we saw yesterday and then in the future when he arrives, Mas told Zee not to contact esp since she found who really took the money but she broke her promise and called him, and i think when Syed arrives we are to see some wall/slight distance between Zee/Mas, coz Syed's like the apple of his mum's eye

So i can see Mas/Jane's friendship deepening, if the friendship already started from that spoiler above, i love Zee/Mas together, but i am interested in this thing with Jane and Mas

I don't mind seeing a friendship between Masood and Jane, just as long as it doesn't develop into an affair.

I think Syed is going to be problem in Zee/Mas relationship

Right now i dont see Mas ever doing the dirty on Zee, he loves her too much but in the future wuith Syed coming, with the tension and the stress who knows esp if his friendship with Jane is going well and he confides in her

Well some of the magazines have already started to speculate on that in their 'coming up pages'.

on page 94 of 'Inside Soap':

Dinner For Two

"When Jane has a quiet meal with Masood, there's electricity in the air.Surely his duo couldn't posibly have an affair-could they?"

True, imean they got over the money thing esp as Zee thought it was him - so that must of been really hard for Zee to actually forgive him on and then only yesterday sghe found out it wasnt Mas but her son

But just have this feeling that Syed is going to be a barrier between Zee and Mas, one they cant agree on

I hope they become friends, not lovers. There is no need for an affair.

I find that Ian and Zee are alike and then Mas and Jane are alike - so i can see why they would get on

They are amazing.

I hope they form a close bond but an affair is not needed.

I think the connection is the fact that Ian and Zainab are very similar in many aspects especially when it comes to business and work. Jane and Masood are dominated by their partners to the point where they find themselves battling with them. I hope it doesn't turn into an affair though. A nice friendship between a male and a female isn't completely out of the realm of possibility in real life so I don't get why it has to be in soaps.

Jane and Masood, Lydia's lamped and Leanne leaves
Sunday, March 1 2009, 00:02 GMT

By Kris Green, Soaps Editor

We'll start with an intriguing picture from EastEnders this week and I have to admit that while reading the batch of storylines containing this snippet, I smiled at the below.

In a fortnight's time, Jane (Laurie Brett) and Masood (Nitin Ganatra) decide to take a break from their respective partners and share a plate of chips in the café. As they descend into talk about their fears and dreams, they're getting on like a house on fire. Before they know it, they're holding each other's gaze.

With a number of other similar 'moments' during the same week - and beyond - could Masood end up being Jane's next Grant? Though having said that, the thought of Masood and Jane copulating in the Masala Queen unit is enough to put anyone off their curry.

Don't get me wrong, I love Laurie Brett and Nitin Ganatra, but here's to hoping that the characters have simply found common ground - in that they both have cantankerous spouses.

With partners like Ian and Zee to go home to who could blame Mas and Jane for becoming very close friends!

Hope it's just a platonic thing.. A betrayal storyline would really drag the Beales and Masoods down. The families make a great comic, double-act at the moment. The writers would be mad to throw that away..

Yeah the scenes should be good, personally though I can't see an affair materializing a good friendship would be perfect.

Friendship is what i am hoping as well - it will be good to see one half of each couple actually getting on rather then seeing the other half Zee and Ian moaning lol
