ITV +1 DOG change? - Broadcasting

Maybe I am just imagining this, but didn't the +1 used to be next to the ITV2/3/4 DOG, and now it is a tiny little +1 on the right in a completely different font to the main DOG?

Yes you're right, it has changed, apart from on ITV3+1. That is still the same, but itv2 and itv4 +1 has changed

I think they're fiddling about with them- ITV2+1 now has a huge 3D +1 next to the ITV2 logo- is that new or was that how it was before?

I noticed this on the weekend. The little +1 on the right seems to be on 16:9 programmes but the 3D +1 next to the logo is on 4:3 programmes. It used to be the 3D one on both.

I think the little +1 showing now on 16:9 programmes is the old +1 before the 3D logo on ITV2. Was never on the right though...

Is there already a plan when the DOGs will be moved to the END of the screen? Are there so many people using Pan&Scan and if "yes" - are they so keen to see the DOG? It looks disastrous in my opinion. It's time to switch off 4:3 protection.

And ITV will never return to transparent DOGs, will they?

On ITV4+1 they have the little +1 on the right on a 4:3 prog (WW Police Videos) so who knows what they're doin? Personally I'd be please if they just scrapped the huge garish logos and went for smaller white transparent ones.

I don't have much of a problem with digi channels using DOGs if they make them discreat, and sadly ITV seem to be going the other way.

A few years ago the ITV2 and 3 logos (don't remember 4) were translucent grey and not that visible, now they are full colour and usually in the 4:3 safe zone.

One thing i have noticed on ITV3 (not sure about 2 and 4) is that the logo seems to change, sometimes its right at the edge of the screen, sometimes its in the 4:3 zone? Does anyone know why this is??

Neither can I- imo they just cheapen the channel and make it look tacky. I can never really get into a film or drama with a huge multicoloured blob on the screen.

Who knows? I doubt ITV do.

I just wish that ALL channels get rid of their DOGS wherever they wish to place them. I find them intrusive and annoying. Especially when there is something on the film/programme that I am watching where something written down is shown on-screen and it is partially blanked out by a f*****g logo!
I know what channel I am watching...and should I forget, I simply push a button to remind me!

the little +1 has moved back to the right on ITV2 +1???

Was watching american idol and it was the original +1 next to the itv2 logo, now watching supernatural and its moved to the right

I was watching Auf Wiedersehn Pet on ITV4+1 the other night and the +1 logo was flashing for roughly 10 seconds, then back to normal

The coloured ITV logo's are amongst the worst on digital TV, Living and sky 1/2/3 are much better now they are nearer the corner od the picture. Ch4+1 is the worst, concidering the More4 and E4 are some of the most descreat out there

BBC Three's is not brilliant either as that is full colour.
