David Beckham H&M underwear ad spoofed for National Chip Week - video

By
David Beckham recently launched his latest underwear range for retail chain H&M, which included some close-up black-and-white shots of the footballer half naked for the whole world to see. In fact, it was seen by hundreds of millions when it aired during the Super Bowl.

The Los Angeles Galaxy star has returned - sort of - in a promo video for London's current highly celebrated week. However, it's not London Fashion week, but the MUCH more important National Chip Week.

The viral clip from Soho-based fish and chip shop Golden Union sees a Beckham lookalike chomp on some fish and chips in similar white briefs to the original advert.

Billy Drew, owner of Golden Union Fish Bar, said of the commercial: "We've been looking forward to National Chip Week all year and wanted 2012 to be one that everyone remembered.

"It's going to be a big year for Britain, with both the Jubilee and the Olympics, so we felt as though this week shouldn't be overlooked as an opportunity to celebrate a classic British favourite, fish and chips."

Golden Union has urged fans to tweet #BeckhamForGU in relation to his previous #BeckhamForH&M campaign in order to promote National Chip Week.
