A US car salesman has been dubbed the 'world's greatest' at carnival games, after estimating that he has given away over 250,000 toys he won to charity.

Peter Drakos has spent his whole life playing games of skill in a bid to win stuffed toys, and believes that he can now lay claim to being the best in the world.

The 64-year-old car salesman began throwing baseballs at bottles, one of the many funfair games he has mastered, at the age of 9, and he soon won enough toys to give one to every child in his school.

A number of carnivals in America have recently been forced to limit the number of stuffed animals guests are allowed to win.

Drakos said: "I don't want to say it's all because of me, but it's all because of me."

On his donations of stuffed toys to charity, he added: "Sometimes it brings tears to your eyes because you know that they're really happy."
