Tarantino "violent" Django Unchained trailer played to kids before Brave

By
A trailer for Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained was played to numerous children and outraged parents who had paid to see Pixar film Brave.

The 11am screening at The Giant Screen in Birmingham for Brave - a PG film - was full as a result of a 50p special offer.

However, as everyone sat down to wait for the animated feature to begin, a preview of the Jamie Foxx-starring Western film rated 15 was shown.

Lisa Whitmore, who had two children with her at the time, complained: "It's probably the most violent film on at the cinema now. I don't know how the staff could be so incompetent.

"Showing them stuff like that can scar children for life. It was not appropriate viewing for my two little girls, who are only 6 and 8. I had to leave the cinema."

Trailers for Die Hard 5 and Iron Man 3 were also shown, reports the Daily Mail.

A Giant Screen spokesperson explained that the error was due to a technical issue, adding: "Immediate action has been taken to strengthen the procedures in place."
