A Game of Thrones House of Stark wedding cake that every fan needs

After the bloodshed of the Red Wedding, things are looking pretty hopeless for the House of Stark in Game of Thrones. Thankfully, bespoke chocolatiers Choccywoccydoodah may have something to cheer up enemies of the Lannisters and the Freys - a Red Wedding cake.

Maisie Williams, aka Arya Stark, is the first person to get her chops around the gigantic cake, which has been created to mark the release of Game of Thrones season 3 on DVD and Blu-ray.

The creation took over 20 hours to make and is filled with chocolate, rum and raisins and enrobed in more chocolate.

"We were thrilled to be given the opportunity of creating the Red Wedding cake for Game of Thrones," said Choccywoccydoodah founder Christine Taylor.

Cake... is coming

"Most of Choccywoccydoodah are avid fans of the series and the idea of creating a cake for this most powerful of all episodes blew us away.

"We decided to create a slaughtered cake, rather than a red cake, giving us the opportunity to try new techniques, new sculpting methods and new finishes.

"The daggers, swords and arrows were all created from chocolate, plunged into the cake and chocolate, revealing weeping bloody wounds.

"We also included a cracked shield of the two families in the episode; House of Stark and House of Frey, to symbolise the fact they are now at war."

Game of Thrones returns on Sunday, April 6 in the US on HBO. It arrives on Sky Atlantic a day later in the UK.
