'Super Smash Bros' tops all-formats chart

Nintendo's best-selling Super Smash Bros: Brawl has stayed at the top of the latest all-formats games chart, despite seeing its sales fall by some 48%.

The fighting game, starring many of Nintendo's most famous characters, remained at number one for the second week in a row.

A sales dip was experienced by all of the top three games in this week's chart, with Electronic Arts' Battlefield: Bad Company and LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures both falling by 31%.

THQ's Big Beach Sports only narrowly missed out on third place, with its sales only 350 copies behind LucasArts' Indiana Jones game.

Sport played a major part in the all-formats chart this week, with Sega's Beijing 2008, Take 2's Top Spin 3 and Sega's ever-popular Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games all enjoying a rise.

Nintendo is now the only company in the all-formats top ten to have format-exclusive games, with Wii Fit at number seven and Wii Play making a re-entry at number nine.

This week's highest climber was Activision's game of the movie Kung Fu Panda, which has risen 24 places after storming up the charts from last week's number 40 to become this week's 16th best-selling title.
