Sony has officially confirmed that its new wireless Singstar microphones will arrive in the UK in March.
News of the microphones was leaked on to Sony's MySpace page in December, but the company has never officially confirmed their existence until now.
In addition to utilising wireless technology, the new microphones will allow for a voice-activated control scheme in the upcoming Singstar Pop Edition and in the online store.
“We’re excited with the community’s response to Wireless Mics. Now SingStars can enjoy their experience wire-free – and test them out with the exciting launch of SingStar: Pop Edition along with hundreds of new tracks in SingStore," revealed Singstar's Dave Ranyard.
Singstar's wireless mics are due to hit shelves on March 20, with Pop Edition to follow in April.
