Electronic Arts (EA) has inadvertently revealed that it is developing a fourth game in the Command & Conquer series.
According to Joystiq, the firms' UK PR team accidentally let the news slip on its Twitter page.
In a post on the website, it said: "New release: EA Los Angeles Announces the Development of Command & Conquer 4."
However, all trace of the message has now been deleted.
Back in June, a survey conducted by British research firm 2CV also leaked news of a fourth instalment in the strategy series.
The company accidentally revealed that the game will deliver an "epic conclusion" to the Tiberium saga, with a brand new story, RPG-like player progression, a co-operative campaign and five versus five online matches.
