'Command & Conquer 3' heads for Xbox 360

Publisher Electronic Arts has announced that its best-selling PC game Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is now in development for Xbox 360, with an Xbox Live demo available for download in the next few weeks.

Currently riding high at number one in the all-formats chart, the PC real-time strategy game has won critical acclaim from all parts of the industry and its Xbox 360 announcement is sure to be welcomed by fans.

Following last year's successful release of real-time strategy game The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth 2 on Microsoft's next-gen console, EA will be expecting great success from this latest game.

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is scheduled for release May 11.
