A rather bulging update sees classic fighter Marvel Vs Capcom 2 finally land on PSN. Madden NFL 10 receives perhaps too much DLC, and you can grab some new content for Red Faction Guerilla and LittleBigPlanet.

Games

Marvel Vs. Capcom 2: One of the most celebrated fighting games of all time, it features some of the biggest names in comics and video games together. Always wanted to know who would win between Ryu and Wolverine? What about Chun-Li versus Jill Valentine? And Iron Man versus Mega Man? The answers lie within.

It's horribly unbalanced as fighters go, but doesn't make the insane three-team matchups any less fun to play. The team shares a single 'super meter' between them, meaning that deploying the right characters at the right time is crucial. Once all three are knocked out, the match is lost. It's not all straight punches and kicks mind - expect fireballs, zombies and sprites that actually take up the entire screen.

Based on the Dreamcast version (and not the 'interesting' PS2 and Xbox versions), it provides access to all 56 fighters from the off, and the same excellent netplay as Super Street Fighter II HD Remix. A variety of HD smoothing options and widescreen displays make this the best version of a classic. Priced £11.99.

Droplitz: Released on Xbox Live back in June, this is a horrendously addictive puzzle game of connecting pipes together so drops reach the bottom of the screen. It comes with various modes and online play, and offers a lot of game for £7.99.

Downloadable Content

Madden NFL 10: There are no fewer than 27 pieces of downloadable content available for the latest Madden, and it was only released today. While the majority of these unlock existing content within the game, surely some of this could have quite easily been fitted on the Blu-ray? At least it's cheap.

Red Faction: Guerrilla: Demons Of The Badlands: This prequel chapter adds new single-player content for the game, including a new playable character and seven new weapons for £6.29. Although it is quite short, it removes a lot of the repetitive activities that marred the main campaign, and sticks to what it does best – blowing stuff up.

LittleBigPlanet: History Pack: Grab costumes of historical figures, including Ada Lovelace, Boudicca, Genghis Khan and Mozart for 79p each or £2.39 for the set. There's also a History Level Kit for £3.19.

Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires: Pick up four new sets of armour – two for both men and women – for free.

Demos

Call Of Juarez: Bound In Blood: You can now play a segment of the Wild West shooter released earlier this year. We called it "unabashedly short-lived and linear" in our review, but that didn't stop it being plenty of fun. Definitely worth checking out.

Track Packs

Rock Band: One track pack and a rare collection of singles up for grabs this week. The pack comes for £2.49, while individual tracks are 99p each.

Gorillaz Pack 1: 'Clint Eastwood', 'Feel Good Inc.', 'Re-Hash'
Single Tracks: 'Chest Fever (Live)' by The Band, 'Magic Bus (Live at Leeds)' by The Who, 'Piece of my Heart' by Bing Brother and the Holding Company, 'White Rabbit' by Jefferson Airplane

Guitar Hero World Tour: Now available is a free track pack, featuring music by Activision's own staff.

Activision Track Pack: 'The Silence Is Deafening' by Awaken, 'Nothing All The Time' by H is Orange, 'I'll Never Know' by Hundred Reasons

PSP / PSone Downloads

Sporty offerings with Madden NFL 2010 and Real Madrid: The Game at £29.99 and £15.99 respectively, and you can grab PSP classic Patapon for £14.99.

There are also two new tracks for Rock Band Unplugged - Iron Maiden's 'The Number Of The Beast' and 'The Trooper' - for 99p each.
