While this week is somewhat light on the DLC and PS3 game front, at least we get to sample some of the new releases coming in the next few weeks, including DiRT 2 and Mini Ninjas. Andy Dick also makes a random appearance in Pain and the Foo Fighters release more content on Rock Band.

Demos

Colin McRae DiRT 2: This online-enabled demo allows bumper-to-bumper racing ahead of the game's full release in September. You can try out two events; a point-to-point race against the clock, or compete against seven other cars on a Californian stage. Times can also be uploaded to a leaderboard, where the fastest will win DiRT 2 goodies.

Mini Ninjas: You can now have a go at this charming adventure game, which reminds us an awful lot of Zelda with its fighting and exploration, which is certainly a good thing. Take down an evil Samurai force by swapping between six ninjas on the fly, all with unique abilities to progress past puzzles in the environment. Scaling giant enemies also has a Shadow Of The Colossus feel to it as well.

WET: This is a gory hack-and-slash action title in the same vein as Devil May Cry, complete with pistols and a sport of swordplay (although the latter doesn't feature in the demo). It's ultra stylish and has a Madworld vibe to the art style, but the controls are a little clunky and take some getting used to. The full game arrives in early September.

IL2 Sturmovik - Birds of Prey: This is a mission-long demo of the aerial-combat simulator out in September. The full version features battles over famous WWII events, including The Battle of Britain, Stalingrad, Berlin, Sicily, the Battle of the Bulge and Korsun. Sound interesting? Downloadable Content

Pain: Andy Dick Pack: You can now exercise your hatred for the American comedian by flinging him across a map for high scores. He joins the likes of Buzz, Daxter and David Hasselhoff as downloadable characters for the game. Break his face for just 79p.

There is also a Street Fighter II Tribute Table in Zen Pinball for £1.59. Sonic Boom indeed.

Track Packs

Rock Band: Foo Fighters return with a second track pack, and a series of singles from Kaiser Chiefs and Blur are up for grabs. £2.49 a pack, or 99p a single.

Foo Fighters Pack 1: 'All My Life', 'I'll Stick Around', 'Lonely As You'.
Single Tracks: 'I'm Shipping Up To Boston' by Dropkick Murpheys, 'Inside Out' by Eve 6, 'No Rain' by Blind Melon, 'There's No Other Way' by Blur

Guitar Hero World Tour: A rather non-specific release of a 'Duelling Banjos' pack is now available for £1.59.

PSP Downloads

Rock Band Unplugged has two new tracks for 99p each; 'A Favour House Atlantic' by Coheed and Cambria, and 'Heartbreaker' by Pat Benatar.

For the PSP, you can now download Wild Arms XF, Rivera and Warriors Orochi for £13.99 each. Our pick, however, is Colin McRae Rally 2005, which comes a little cheaper at £7.99. You can also download a demo of upcoming brawler Dissidia: Final Fantasy.
