Indie Interview: James Silva ('Z0MB1ES')
As part of this week's Indie Interview series, we chat to the developer behind the Xbox Live hits Dishwasher: Dead Samurai and I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES about life as an indie developer and Xbox Indie Games.

> Interview: James Silva (Dishwasher, Z0MB1ES)

He also gave us an insight into the creative processes behind I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES that for obvious reasons we couldn't fit in the above article...

The song that plays in the game is genius. How was the idea conceived?
"Thanks! I first had the idea from this plot point in Ben There, Dan That about using a Match 3 game with secret hypnotic powers, and I thought it would be neat to have a boring, cutesy, secretly hypnotic and evil Match 3 game where the game kept crashing into a terminal where some mysterious hacker would contact you and tell you how to defeat the evil machine behind the evil Match 3 game - just the idea of a game that's cognisant of its existence within a larger universe I guess.

"That sort of morphed into a game where the maker's like, 'Heyyyy I'm putting some zombies in the game now! Check it out!' And somehow, Z0MB1ES came out."

Come back tomorrow as we talk to Eskil Steenberg of MMO Love, before we finish off with Flower designer Jenova Chen on Friday.
