This week on Xbox Live… 'Rainbow Islands'!

This week's Xbox Live update sees another HD remake of a Taito classic, along with a trick shot-filled pool game. Also available are more Games on Demand and some discounted World At War maps.
Games
Rainbow Islands Towering Adventure!: Much like the recent Bubble Bobble Neo!, this is also a high-definition take on a recent WiiWare version for 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80).
However, instead of retaining the original visual style and gameplay, this is rather loosely based on the old series. Bub and Bob (or your avatar) are now lanky figures that float from platform to platform, chased by a mad scientist with a giant drill. No more mad panic at rising water levels or oversized vampire bosses, we're afraid. Additionally, instead of worlds and individual stages, this is one continuous climb into space, chopped up by boss battles. The pace is faster and more frantic as a result, but the array of sweeping changes means this isn't the game you loved decades ago. Grab Neo! for your classic Taito fix.
Also available is Inferno Pool for 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80). Up to four players can battle in the Inferno mode, where tricks can be combined to unleash on others, or you can play classic 8 or 9-Ball variants.
Games On Demand
Dead Space and DiRT are now available to download directly to hard drives. They can be purchased for £19.99, and a manual can be found on the official Xbox website.
Track Packs
Rock Band: The prices are all over the shop this week: the Morningwood tracks are 80 Microsoft Points each (68p) while the rest are 160 Microsoft Points (£1.35). The Rob Zombie Pack is 440 Microsoft Points (£3.75) and finally, the five track-strong Wolfmother pack is 680 Microsoft Points (£5.75).
Morningwood singles: 'Sugarbaby', 'Best Of Me'
Liz Phair single: 'Rock Me'
Rob Zombie track pack: 'Burn', 'Dragula', 'Superbeast'
Wolfmother track pack: 'Woman', 'White Unicorn', 'Sundial', 'Pilgrim', 'New Moon Rising'
